The Spurs cede this debate largely because of Manu being a Sixth man. However, when they roll out their 4th quarter, playoff lineup: Duncan Horry Bowen Parker Ginobilli Well, that's why they've won a couple of championships, frankly. For Starting 5? Phoenix - just gobs and GOBS of talent - AND relative playoff success compared to many of the other teams mentioned in this thread.
I don't see it with Orlando. Jameer is good, but not quite there yet to me. Bogans has been inconsistent his entire career--no reason to think he'll break through this late. Turkoglu.. come on, what Battier wishes he was? The guy is a solid offensive player... I think that's where the convo stops. Gotta go with Phoenix or, ugh, Utah.. if Brewer (a true young guy who's getting mins) keeps it up and Kirilenko doesn't have a crying episode.
Boston could start M. Maloney and Thomas "Two Sandwiches" Hamilton along with Garnett, Allen and Pierce and still have the best five... Now...if the Rox would start Franchise, Scola & Bonzi, (along with Yao & T-Mac), I'd probably give us the nod (as well as the top 8 man rotation - MJ, Shane & Rafer). As much as people around here hate Alston - I'm glad he's still a Rocket - I just think he's a better 7th or 8th man than a starter.
