That was portland's pick. They had the #3 pick that year and didn't like anybody so they traded with Utah who wanted Deron.

oden is compared to tim duncan moreso than hakeem.

oden already is much better than yao defensively. we don't know his offense yet but he did dominate the best frontline in college when he did stay out of foul trouble.

like yao, he looks like he's gonna be a good post player. and please don't compare him to dwight howard. oden already has more post moves than dwight. howard literally has zero post moves. and howard is not on oden's level defensively.

there's a reason a center like oden is hyped even from jr high school. usually a guard or perimeter player like lebron or oj mayo gets the hype. but this is a center.

and from what i saw, he barely scratched the surface offensively. let him practice w/ his good hand. he already has one of the best left hand for a big guy in the L b/c of what happened last yr.

and roy has leadership over tmac? i think mcmillan is the one providing leadership to that team. roy is a quiet kind of guy even moreso than tmac if u follow his days from washington. when he played w/ nate robinson at washington, roy let him took all the attention. he's very laid-back like tmac.
