Panda, don't be such a grumpy bear!!! Its okay that Yao cost us the win tonight. Yao just needs to: 1) stop playin for China, 2) get acclimated to the US, 3) get a new coach, 4) get a new pg, 5) get more respect from the refs or whatever the new crutch all of the Yao only fans are providing the man these days.

Put JVG on that team and Francis would average 16 points, Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson would be sitting on the bench or rotting on the IL. CD and JVG have done a lousy job so far this season. I believe this team has more potential than the Orlando Magic.

Mobley and Prince really isn't the main question. The main question of buidling a team is would you be willing to pay T-Mac and Yao the Max or Francis and Stoudamire the Max. I'll choose the latter. I'll give up a Camry right now for a chance of a BMW in the future. Of course that's just my philosophy.

I don't care if Yao lost us a game or two. I do not like revisionist history creeping up after every loss. I was an advocater for the T_Mac trade and I'll stick with my gun. The bottom line is I like T-Mac and Yao more than Francis and Stoudamire.

But you just said that you would rather give the max to Steve and Amare, what gives? And by the way, I had no idea that the game was over (or even being played) tonight so you can get out of here with that bad loss..change the team bullcorn.

I would have voted for this:

    Nash-Tmac-Yao and 2 cheerleaders.

    I prefer this one:

    1-Kidd, 2- McGrady, 3- LeBron, 4- Amare, 5- Yao

What do you guys think? This one, or the one we have now, or last years'?

Trade JJ + Boki for Lebron
    Trade Howard for Amare
Trade Mo + Spoon for Kidd

    :D

Seriously, synmill should stop. This thread is meaningless. We have the first line-up. Deal with it.

Why kept Steve after the trade with Vancouver? He should be traded for some draft picks instead. Such as #13 Maggette, #16 Artest and #57 Ginobili. Then instead of drafting K. Thomas at #22, rockets should have drafted AK47 who was drafted at #24.

Then cat should be traded for some draft picks at 2000. How about Magloire at #19 and Redd at #43.

At 2001, instead of trading for a high draft pick (E. Griffen), we should have drafted Troy Murphy at #14, Zach Randolph at #19, and tony parker at #28.

    Parker
    Redd, Ginobili
    Artest, Maggette
    AK 47, Randolph
    Magloire, Murphy

What do u think? I think my team is a little bit better than yours. Actually I could have done a lot better. Maybe I should create a new thread for the new senerio! Please just wait a few mins...

Man!!! How could I forget to add those to the poll? Maybe I was actually trying to have an inteligent discussion here but I should have known that was impossible unless I get back in my time machine and return to 1999 when this forum actually had adults that knew a thing or two about a thing or two instead of a bunch of penises who overreact the minute somebody has opinion opposed to theirs. Just to console those people: 1) going into Iraq was a stroke of genius, 2) gay people will rot in hell but before then lets make their lives as horrible as possible, 3) Halliburton is the only company that can get the oil from Iraq, 4) Hussein and Bin Ladin played poker every thursday plotting 9/11 and (my favorite) 5) Yao Ming is Shaq, Hakeem, Wilt, Russell, and Moses wrapped into one...but better.

You make good points, especially the part about JVG esentially not being able to effectively coach that team as he hasn't been able to coach this current version of the Rox. I still think that #2 team is pretty sick, though. With the personnel on the #2 squad, it would be pretty foolish to make them a half-court team; even JVG would have to see that.

Oh, and the future of that #2 squad would be pretty bright as well I think.

Funny that it is an inteligent discussion if u get back in time machine and suggest some fantasy trade. If others do that, u r a bunch of penises who overreact.

go nuts when Romans talk about other trades in a what-could-have-been trade thread, and accuse other Romans of being penises and over-reacting?

Seriously bro, you are over reacting a little.

Don't forget Kobe. I'm sure we could have offered more than Vlade Divac for his rights. We probably could have gotten Dirk really easily too.

    seriously-
Just about every team in the league could have had a good shot at getting Stoudemire. No one thought that he was going to be this good. The draft is 50 percent luck.

Option #1 definitely. Getting rid of Francis and Mobley was a great move. The rockets just need better role players, but Francis and Mobley weren't getting them anywhere.
