Bob Sura vs. Artest in a fight.. Who would win? Or better yet, how many ounces of blood would you witness on the ground?
Imagine having Tracy McGrady of 04/05 on this current team with Artest, Scola and Hayes... Or 06/07. Or 07/08.
i voted the current team. it's kinda unfortunate. when the combined strength of yao amd mcgrady was at its peak, we didn't have enough decent role players (thanks cd!); when we started to acquire them, injuries happened; and finally when it seemed everything is in place, mcgrady declined too damn fast. all in all, i think the current roster is the best one we've had since akeem retired.
Me and my Rockets-fan friends have always regretted what happened to Sura, a lot more than Francis, and almost as much as McGrady. I think he would've made a big impact on either of the past two playoff teams.
Yeh it sucked big time he got injured.. if you can't be lucky enough to land an elite PG then Bobby Sura is the sorta guy you would want there. I still remember watching this game
04-05. We did win the series but the refs cheated us and gave it to the Mavs on numerous rigged calls.
I gotta go 04-05..... Sura and Wesley i think had better ability to manage the floor. Overall, I think this years or last years teams have more talent - but 04-05 just ran smoother as a unit - 22 game streak not withstanding
We should say that this is the best team we have ever had, but Yao is not what he once was, T-Mac is out.
I chose 04-05 since we took the mavs who were the top team in the west back then who went to the finals to 7 games (6 of which were tough, haha). The mavs were THE team to beat back then.
as a team, this year definitely, why do we even want to remember stupid 1st round exits and a whining "superstar" anyway? artest has helped so much and I would be very upset if they don't resign him this season.
08-09, the amount of talent we have even with the loss of McGrady is enough for us to be a title contender. Unfortunately, we still have bugs to work out that due to the ever changing rotation at the beginning we have yet to be able to fully address when we should have.
