DMo of course. Added 20 pounds since the draft. Another 10-15 and he could be either an all-star center or PF. True 7 footer at 240 pounds with range, handles, proficient passer, rebounds now out of his area, and can dribble drive like a sf. Smooth as silk around the basket with better low post moves than anyone on the roster. Oh by the way have you seen tapes/games? Far below in second place is TWill, unless you factor in BB intelligence. Then PPat.
Depends how you want to define potential. If you look at pure athleticism I think it's TWill hands down. I'm just not sure he's wired to fire correctly on all cylinders. But if he could, the sky is the limit for him. Realistic potiential, the person I see growing the most in his NBA career, Patterson.
Terrence Williams and Patrick Patterson. Huge skillsets. This year we will find out Lowry's ceiling as a player.
Hasheem Thabeet Just don't put him in a High post offense, or post him up. Let him play the Tyson Chandler role and he would be fine. The problem is that we have run a sophisticated offense that requires our center to be able to make passes and use a bball iq that Thabeet just doesn't have. Even in a Tyson role, he isn't completely ready (namely rebounding and fire), but Tyson wasn't either for a number of years. It wasn't until Tyson was paired with some very solid point guards that he became that much more valuable. I wonder if Tyson will do as well in NY with ??? at point guard. Twill - He is already decent, but he needs to continue to channel his focus into his weaknesses. The main thing about Twill is that he needs to get an automatic jumper and a deadly midrange game. He doesn't really get enough lift on his jumper. He reminds me a lot of Ricky Davis, a nice player, just not an elite one. Morris - A big ? that will be answered this season. Although I can see him scoring well, I have worries about his defense on NBA 3's, he just doesn't strike me as someone who can move well enough laterally to guard 2's who slide over to the 3. On offense his postup and spotup ability should be useful. Guys who are already good, probably won't get much better: Lowry - I just don't see how he can get better Patterson - He's already a beast Lee - He's just slightly above average, nothing special. Hill - I just don't see Hill improving much more. He is what he is, a backup. Flynn - Another Raymond Felton? Possible backup.
Did we amnesty Thabeet??? The NBA on ESPN @NBAonESPN RT @TheAkronHammer: Hasheem Thabeet went from No. 2 overall pick to amnesty waivers in 30 months. That's impressive.
Correct DD. Not unless you have another center locked up verbally. Not sure that he will be much help but any help at the center position right now would be nice.
