I get Junkyard Dog vibes from Tate.

I need to pay more attention to Tate if these are the opinions about him

Yeah, you're missing out. I don't think anything he is doing right now isn't sustainable. Like for example if he was on a hot shooting streak or something like Mason Jones. Jones will bottom out somewhere, we just don't really know where that is because he is unconscious right now.

Tate is already an above-average one on one defender and help defender. If he can show that he has a reliable 3 point over time and it hasn't been bad at 34% on almost 2 attempts per game, he is going to make himself a tremendous amount of money. For example, if he can shoot between 35%-37% on say 4 attempts per game, with the way he plays defense, he will get a hefty raise when his next contract comes up.

I voted Artest. I think that is the closest comparison out of the guys listed.

This is closest comparison in my mind as well.

Similar size, defensive acumen and junkyard dog energy.

    But Tate is better ballhandler.

    Mario was better 3ball shooter.

But no love for Nwaba OP?

Nwaba has been the Rockets best defender this season.

Nwaba would've been a good option to include in the options. Nwaba uses more athleticism in his game. Tate seems to use more strength and power. Both players fit our team well

Maybe on offense. Both guys are power forwards in shooting guards bodies. Solid low post game and great rebounders for their size. On defense, there games are different. Tate seems to put more effort into defense than what Bonzi did. Then again, Bonzi carried a greater offensive load

    In all seriousness, Zion Williamson.

An engaged harden. Deceptively strong. Good in post. Can stay in front of most guards. High defensive IQ. Left handed.

    I can agree with that.
I do feel Wells was a better post defender. Than people give him credit for.

But yup Tate has faster feet on the perimeter.
And just seems to want it more.
