Kareem. Not only was he a dominant player for many years (winning 6 MVPs along the way) but he played forever. If you take Magic he is only in the league for about 12 seasons, Russell 13 seasons, Wilt 14 seasons, Jordan 15 seasons (non-consecutive). Kareem played 20 seasons. Kareem is the best mix of individual and team success in NBA history, had an iconic move that can showcase your franchise, and since he is trying to get into coaching you could keep him around the team for a long time like the Rockets did with Rudy T.
Wilt is basically a more athletic Shaq with the same FT flaws, I don't know why anyone would put Shaq over Wilt. I'd say Wilt or Kareem as 1st choice. BTW the "slacker" on defense Kareem would be #1 in blocks all time (he easily woul dbe ahead of Dream) if they records had been kept in 1969 and averaged about 16RPG in his athletic prime. Then Jordan. Russell, Shaq, Hakeem, Magic, Bird next tier--not necc in that order.
