Which player should we build the team around? green, sengun, jabari?

We should build around our franchise player.

 

According to Clutchfans, we have 5 or 6 franchise players.

 

There is only one. His was the original "franchise player" thread. The others were started in jest.

Not sure if that player is on the team yet. Sengun is the best of the young players right now and Amen has the highest somewhat reasonable ceiling.

Also, if the Rockets build around internal players, I think it would be on players and not one player. Rockets need to figure out if Amen (or Jalen) and Sengun work like FVV and Sengun are working, but probably earliest the Rockets will have a decent idea on that is next season some time.

Nah I dont have the patience to babysit. Real Rocket fans dont give a flying fk who is the "best" player on this team after withstanding the last 3 years. Im enjoying the ride and wont let the insecurity of new fans who have found a 'great national hope' derail that with fantasy 2k GM builds.

 

I get pretty ****ing tired of the continued and constant slighting of Boban.

howabout you build a TEAM... where everybody contributes... where u devise a gameplan thats gonna maximize the productivity of everybody on the floor... instead of catering and coddling to one guy with the hopes that he becomes a superstar and is able to put the whole team on his back...

Its an organic process. Right now, Sengun is undoubtedly the most ready and consistent and the Rockets should continue to play through him. He has the highest ball IQ on the team (with Vanvleet) and is only going to continue to get better. Jalen and Jabari are having to re-learn how to play basketball, at least pro basketball the right way and it will take a couple of seasons until we finally see what their true ceilings are going to be like. The Silas era was really detrimental to their development. I feel like Sengun, like most Euros, are ready to contribute to NBA teams right away.
