Shane Battier. Defensive-minded 3 point specialist with good passing ability and pretty deep playoff experience. Even if he can't play much these days he'll still be a fantastic locker room presence. Miami's run last year was credited to his speech; if he can inspire people like Lebron and Dwyane Wade to play well together he can do the same for Harden and Howard.

They should really go after my boy Hibachi. I mean I know Dwight and him have played before, but I've been keeping up with him and the dude looks really in shape. There's videos o YouTube of him working out and looks real agile and smooth again. Plus he said he was realky interested in coming back next season. Come on... I mean its Agent Zero.

He should just retire and join our staff if that's the case.

I'm under the understanding that Kevin Love has a player option for next season, meaning that he can opt out and become a free agent this summer. I hope he gives it another go, but time will tell.

As a Minny fan, I hope Love stays, but if he is leaving (which everyone says he is) the one place I'd be ok with him going is Houston! He would be the perfect fit on the Rockets, he can rebound, and stretch the floor. I wonder if he would also get the go to post looks, as I never saw Dwight as a go to scorer but Love is elite at putting up numbers inside and out.

Defense is definitely a concern, but his defense will be better, or at least much better hidden in Houston. Part of the problem is that the Wolves relied on him so much this season that he desperately wanted to avoid foul trouble, making him very un-agressive on D. Also, him and Pekovic were just a bad fit defensively, as while both of them weren't bad individual defenders, together they were a nightmare. Slow, bad on screens, bad rotations.

Kevin Love isn't a horrible defender, as he is big, strong, and very tough inside. So with less pressure to not foul and an athletic, fast center like Dwight manning the middle on defense, Love's defense should be MUCH less of a problem.

A PF who can play defense or a reliable PG.
KLove and Melo are enticing, but I just don't know if their lack of D (despite their offensive prowess) is something our team as a whole could handle.

And no to Pau... the last pairing of Dwight and Pau had poor results...

Shane is going to retire, because he knows that there is little left in the tank.
He can be an assistant coach. We need guys that can play, and inspire us when we are down.

They have a good team and on the rise but it's doable. That's why we involve a third team to manufacture something Washington would take involving Asik. They already have Ariza and Beal playing at a high level. To be honest, it is easy. Lowry is a unrestricted free agent. Give him Lin type money. Biedrins is also unrestricted with length.

It's a tall order, but Kevin Love is the guy we should go after despite his defensive shortcomings.
