Within reason, so LeBron and Blake are out of the question, veteran or rookie, just one player. I guess the two biggest names seem to be Dwight Howard or Andre Drummond. Any one player you think Morey has a legitimate chance to get.

This thread can serve as a matter of record on the subject. ;)

I choose Meyers Leonard. I like him for four reasons.

He has exceptional size, length, and athleticism for his position.
    The Rockets need a center.
He's considered a fairly safe pick.
But he also has upside and room for improvement.

Kind of the best of both worlds.

I would be shocked if he dropped out of the top ten.

I would love keep three draft picks and end up with Leonard, Ross and Moultrie. I don't think we could do any better than that.

Perfect draft for me is getting Lamb and Drummond and keeping these guys.

Just think these two guys are going to be really good players. I think Lamb could be a Kevin Martin (who can hopefully score in the 4th qtr) and I think the sky is the limit with Drummond. I really do.

Just one name, please. If Morey can only acquire One player on your list, which player is it?

    Drummond, Drummond, Drummond.

I think the sky is the limit with this guy. Physically he's something else.

As far as motivation goes...we'll see. He's a young guy, 18 so in general he has a lot of learning left to do.

I want him to get two players, one safe pick and one with upside:
    Safe: Terrence Ross
    Upside: Drummond

What I really would love though is to get a player with that edge and little bit of anger like Maxwell. A guy who picks up a few technicals here and there, uses his anger to throw up crazy shots that still go in, likes to have 1-on-1 battles and is physical. Anybody knows whether any player among the the players projected to go in the top 20 has it?

    Beal.

IMHO, he will be the best player in this draft.

Well if Morey would acquire multiple players it would be a bigman so my guess is it would be: Meyers Leonard, Andre Drummond or Tyler Zeller

I would build a Morey alter in my closet if he got Beal and Drummond/Leonard.

My perfect draft, just replace Lamb with Rivers, have a gut feeling that this guy will be a star within 3 years in the NBA.

But any big-wing combiantion of Drummond/Leonard - Rivers/Lamb will be great for me too.

I'd be very happy with Dion Waiters,Meyers Leonard and Perry Jones with the picks we currently have.

    Dwight Howard.

Because I ask myself this. Which is more likely: Drummond becoming a star? Or Dwight Howard resigning? The answer is unequivocally latter. Plus we get the bonus of automatically one contending season no matter what Howard does next offseason.

Now if there was the Rockets can actually move themselves up to #2, then I actually want to keep the pick(player dependent on who the Rockets like best among Gilchrist/Beal/Robinson).

I really don't get the fascination with Drummond. The guy does have a lot of raw talent, no doubt. But his own college coach even said that he could be a 5 year project. My prediction is that Drummond is the next Deandre Jordan.
