I think you're mixed up. These players can be signed at any time I believe. Just that today was the latest they could be released and still be playoff eligible if they did join another team.

Not sure about a signing deadline, though on ESPN last night, they talked about how Sprewell (because he was never on a roster this season) could sign on the last day of the regular season and still could play in the post season.

IMO JLIII is a better matchup against Nash than Brunson. He's small and quick. Being small lures Nash to shoot jumpers. Being quick is good for stopping penetration. Also, JLIII is good at pushing the ball and provide energy.Just my 2 cents.

JLIII will be schooled by Nash. He was not experienced enough to play/guard a veterane SuperStar PG like Steve Nash.

And a scrub like Brunson wouldn't? Experience can be accumulated while physical assets can't.

Rick Brunson is waived by Sonics because he is injured.

Do we need another injury prone player???

I watched JL3 in the NBDL last week for 2 games versus the Austin Toros, he is only like 5'9" but MAN is he quick and a great shooter....

He would make an excelling backup at the 2, sort of an Earl Boykins style of player.

I can say right now with how Head's playing I definately would trust JL3 at the point guard spot more than Head. This doesn't mean I don't want the Rockets to stop developing Head, but his slump has been going for a loooooong ass time.

Delk signed with Pistons and Andre Barrett with the Suns. Unless JVG has coaxed Stockton out of retirement their isn't much out there.

Andre Barrett was with the Florida Flame in the NBDL too, I saw him play Austin last month, he is also VERY quick.

But I think JL3 was quicker and a better shooter.

Any word about what Jay Williams is up to now? Would be interesting to give him a chance at this point in the season.

I'm going to miss JB.He is a really cool guy who did a lot for us. I wish him good luck. I have no idea who the PG is going to be but we don't have many options.

Who ever they get I hope he can play his position better than Rafer Alston.
Rafer is playing out of control and JVG seems not to care about it! Rafer has recently given up on being a playmaker and foolishly attempts to take the game over.
