Jamie Williams. He was only 6'4", but he could clear some space.

Steve Slaton. I think he puts the most pressure on the defense, making it much easier for Yao to throw downfield.

Does it matter which PF will create the most space for Yao? How much space does he really need whilst sitting on the bench after yet another injury? I'm sure TMac is saving him a spot.

I must be falling behind in baseball and football, because I can't think of anything abbreviated PF. Punt Fielder maybe?

Hey, what site did you use for this? The original hotzones site won't work for me anymore.

even tho Artest is not a PF i would say a lineup of Yao, Artest, Battier, McGrady, and Alston/Brooks will be the best fit for Yao just because guess space the floor and gives Yao more room to operate. If teams double team then Yao kicks it out and open shots for guys.

Scola is a better rebounder. Scola has decent range, though he can get hot/cold with the 15 foot jumpshot

I vote Scola. Landry works better with the second unit, who's speed and spacing give him the room he needs to operate

Here are Yao's player pair numbers so far this season. The first chart was apparently very early in the season and doesn't include some players (Battier, Wafer). For that reason, I think the second chart is probably more reliable.

The +/- is pretty far in Scola's favor, but individual numbers are a mixed bag. Yao gets more points, rebounds, blocks, and free throw attempts with Landry, but shoots a lower %, gets less attempts, and turns the ball over much more. Yao's overall offensive/defensive averages on the court are 97/89 respectively. Those go up (100/91) with Scola, and down (91/88) with Landry.

It's hard to learn about spacing from these numbers, but overall I'd say that Scola works better with Yao in terms of overall effect on winning.
