I guess in that case the result would the similar to Europeans converting North America Indians into Christians. You would have some that would convert immediately and the ones that didn't would be forced to.

Just for funsies I agree with you to that part...... :)

But believe that only a world wide catastrophe of immense importance (aliens, nuclear holocaust, or The Dream creating his own religion) could lead to people shifting towards different beliefs. I think Christianity will not be recognizable in 500 years by today's standards, but will still be around.

And comparing religions from the past is hard because there has never been a time in history that a religion has had this much impact and followers.

I would heartily disagree with that...

There has been a religion that has had more then 2 billion followers and that was practiced on every continent? (And yes, penguins are Christian in the Catholic sect. They don't believe in condoms or divorce....just saying)

I watched District 9 in between those posts . Those aliens turned out to be more moral than the Earthmen.

But they might be the Alien Taliban.

Make us agree to a Nukular ban.

I predict, in less than 100 years, shared information will become so ubiquitous, there will be: an implied and agreed world standard of morals. no cultural relevance, that instead of being pantheistic will be pan-tolerant of a vary shades on monotheistic belief.
