Which NBA teams will benefit from a shortened season?

Recent photos show that some players seem to be working out less than other players. Guys like Dwane Wade, Lebron James, and Carmelo Anthony are visibly more 'fatter' in the face since the lockout.

In contrast, some of the Kings/Grizzles guys look better in shape in some of the Fall basketball games.

My prediction is that if there is a shortened NBA season we will see a significant reshuffling of pecking order for NBA teams with the younger, more 'hungrier' teams such as the Chicago Bulls surpassing a team like the Miami Heat.

I disagree. Older teams will be better rested for the playoffs... they also have the experience to take advantage right out of the gate.

    Lakers, Mavericks, Spurs ect...

Yup these teams already have experience playing together and have faced adversity in the playoffs, they dont have to face the long grind of the regular season.

I think the Spurs could make one last push. Ginobli could stay healthy with only 50 regular season games.

It's funny because the Spurs have had about 5 final push seasons in the past 5 years now.

    They just never go away.

Duncan's game has fallen off signifcantly, with him as a No.3 option they wont go past 2nd round

both valid points younger = more hungry to pump weight and shoot jumpers , and older equals more rested but, i think fitness wins out :S
