1993. The Rockets were rolling at the end of the season. They were the hottest team in the league going into the playoffs. I really felt they could win it all.

The Rockets got screwed on the last game of the season by a late tip in by David Robinson costing them the game. That gave Seattle home court advantage in the second round.

Seattle played us tougher than any team. We lost game 7 on the road in overtime to the only team I thought was capable of beating us. Plus every call went their way down the stretch. The game should have been in Houston where we would have won. It was gut wrenching.

1997 does not really come close to the way I felt in 1993. We traded away Cassell and Horry and were wearing the pajamas. I did not have them same connection to that team as the 1993 team.

97 Jazz...so painful!! I hate them til this day!
05 Mavs....just pure hate, it's Dallas, that game was so ref'd wrong!

Is it me, or many of these series felt like they were decided by the stupid refs making bad calls?

Definitely against Jazz when Stockton burned us with that three.

100% agreed. Could have given Olajuwon the chance to face a Bulls team in they matched up very well against had they won that game. All these first round exits don't compare to that one and the '97 Jazz.

That game in 93 was a classic. Every call did go their way, and they got to play illegal d on Hakeem all series. But if you remember, late in ot in that Game 7 vernon took that ill-advised 3 when he should have dumped it down to Hakeem before their "2-3 matchup zone ste up. That one hurt. But that was Vernon. I guess that was a learning experience because they went on to win two rings.... But its funny because the same 3 that Maxwell missed in Seattle was the same 3 as the kiss of death in Phoenix....
