I believe that was 08...or whichever year scola, landry and brooks were all rookies...

    that was the "tooth" series

I cant choose because they all hurt lol. But I was really young in 1997 but i still remember that series. That was pretty depressing. BUT the series that im still not over to this day is the Dallas series in 05'. Sh't was riggedddddd. Utah series in 2007 hurt but a easier pill to swallow. I dunno just to hard to choose.

    2005 vs Mavs
    1997 vs The j*zz
    2007 vs The j*zz

    In that order.

05' we were completely healthy and Tracy was just destroying the competition. We blew it. That 40 point loss was hard to swallow too.

I'm surprised the 2005 series has the same number of votes as 1997. The 97 Jazz series was much bigger than the 05 series.

So close to playing MJ and the Bulls.

    Thanks.
I believe it was '08. I can remember being pissed off at that call.

But overall, that 06-07 Jazz series was quite disappointing. I believe Yao and Tracy both avg. around 25ppg that season. Granted of course, Yao missed a lot games. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that stuff. It was only the 1st round, but I go with this only because some of those earlier series I was so young...I don't think I even really remember the details and importance like some of the users here. And in regards to the Lakers series last season....I was more heartbroken that Yao went down again, than losing in 7. I was shocked we took them to 7. So that was fun.

for some reason that 97' team just doesn't register with me on the same level...

I mean I remember the bear hug...and my hatred of he who delivers not on Sundays burns no dimmer...

but I still remember the 93' loss to the Sonics more vividly for some reason...(I was 11 at the time...)

the Sonics were our achilles heal and the Jazz were our biatch...and THAT would have been the year we faced Jordan with our REAL team.

with all respect to Tinman, Barkley was just a kiss of death...

and I will leave you with...

    amen brother...

I voted for 97 that bear hug of malone, and the 3 ppinter of stockton, is the worst feeling.
I wanted to beat the Bulls in the Finals.

the 05 was painful, after the 2-0 and the refs terrible call, and losing by 40

last year we almost had it too, if Yao had played that game 7, probably the rockets had won.

1996 series - getting sweeped by the Sonics 4-0 in the 2nd round to end our dynasty.

Was a terrible feeling of being lost.

How can that not even be on the poll is beyond me.

that was not one of the most dissapointing eox playoffs series losses, because the sonics ussually beat the rox and it happened after 2-peat title, so not that bad

for me, it was the series against the jazz. we had more talent than they did, and malone held barkley as stockton hit the GW shot. i believe it turned out to be the last year for olajuwon. we started our downfall soon after.

the series against dallas was also very embarrassing. i hate them more than any other team, we had mac and yao. we played well but in the end, we lost due to various reasons, one being the officiating.

1997 and it shouldn't be close.

They cheated. They deprived us of a chance of seeing Dream vs. Jordan in the Finals... and watching Rodman melt down because he couldn't hang with Dream or get in his head.

    The Jazz suck.

no, we deserved to lose that series.

if you can't win at home at a game 7 in the first round, you ARE NOT championship material.

we were pretenders, just accept that.

I wanted to see Barkley vs Rodman in the paint, Barkley would have beaten Rodman on the boards. that was the year Barkley had 33 rebounds in one game as a Rocket.

    oh well.

    you answered your own question.

we lost to Seattle (0-4) then the next year we beat them because Barkley > Horry down in the post. they couldn't illegal defense both Barkley and Dream in the paint.

And let's not forget, even though Pippen was horrible, Barkley taking the vet minimum so we can sign a big name free agent goes down as the most selfless act in Rockets history.

Also Barkley driving around Houston in a ford truck. that dude was real.

    93 could've started a 3 peat. They would've smoked the suns.
