Actually the unjust here are the people who are condemning him for exercising his rights. Apparently freedom for these guys is ok only as long as it is convenient for them, nevermind that in your daily lives you would throw a fit if someone decided where and with whom you would work with for you. Back on topic, I like LBJ's game. Its something else when you put up 25, 16, 8 and people still say you threw the game away. As a person, I don't really give a ****, as we can see by the "decision" he's someone who's extremely self-absorbed and egotistical. From a fan's perspective, I actually like Kobe Bryant more, as he is someone who always treats fans with respect off the court.
He is super talented. Not so smart. I dont care to judege him too much but his decision was kind of a weird thing to do and maybe questionable if not damaging to him ultimately. Its his decision though. Wade, Bosh an dLebron hijacked everyone and took them on a ride then ended up where everyone already knew including themselves where they were going to end up in the first place. That was the part that was stupid on their part. Just go there together and dont makea spectacle about it dragging other teams and fanbases through this whole ordeal creating this huge backlash in every town they turned down. Thats not cool or smart. Why? Everyones knows now they had this planned from the beginnning to be in Miami. Should have came out in the begining that way.
Respected him and defended throughout the year, even as I was beginning to doubt him with his dancing and his antics against Boston? Now? I wish for him to be hit with every single negative thing that can happen to him on the basketball court, and maybe a few off. I'm pissed off at myself for ever liking the scumbag.

Nope. I agree with you on that. My point is you really can't list many reasons to dislike the guy. He has a huge ego. What else? What related to basketball? I'm not arguing that a huge ego isn't to be frowned upon, but when I look at the things athletes typically get in trouble for I really don't see LeBron associated with any of them, on or off the court.
Pretty closely sums up my feelings, as well. I've always said that, if players are true to their word in that they are serious about winning being the most important thing, I'd like to see them take pay cuts to play alongside other great talent. I primarily hope it happens on my own team in the form of players resigning for less money, but Lebron ultimately did it, and I would be hypocritical if, on some level, I didn't respect that move. I don't care about Cleveland. I don't even care much about Lebron individually. All I want is for him to entertain me when I tune into one of his team's games, and for his team to get knocked out in the playoffs by my team. He does have a big ego, but there are probably like 10 NBA superstars who have big egos for every one that doesn't. It's refreshing when a superstar doesn't have a big ego, but the opposite is the status quo, and I'm afraid to say that I have gotten used to it. The counter point to his ego is that he believes it isn't so big that he won't be able to play alongside two other all-star players. It will be interesting to see if they can all co-exist. I know a lot of people are soured on the fact that Lebron may end up taking more of a facilitator role, but I don't know if that is necessarily a bad thing. Yeah, he wouldn't fit into peoples' preconceived Jordan-style superstar mold, but I think it would be just as exciting seeing another Magic-style player. Though this is all just speculation, so who knows what role he ultimately takes up with the Heat? You could also argue that he is disloyal, but you'd have to first subscribe to the notion that team/city loyalty is prevalent in modern sports, which is something that I believe has largely gone the way of the dodo. You could argue that he is a coward for taking the easy way out and shirking his shot as the GOAT, but I like it when players put rings as their #1 priority and put individual accolades on the back burner.
I didn't mind his silly pregame antics. I didn't mind his unoriginal Garnett powder clouds. I didn't mind his in-game dance dance revolution rituals. I didn't mind him treating the city of Cleveland like a bad stepchild. I didn't mind the 1 hour special. But throwing a volleyball team out of the gym is really low and it makes Chase sad. Whenever Chase is sad, that just upsets me. For this reason, I hate LerBon.
I voted love than hated, because I generally follow that arc, but those terms are far too strong. I liked him alright before -- slightly to the left of indifference. Now, I mildly dislike him for the ill-advised and immature decision to make his prima donna announcement on television.
Honestly i'm indifferent about him. I thought having a one hour long special to make a decision was douchey. But honestly, Cleavland fans are ridiculous. After he gave them a good seven years and brought a team whos second best player was Larry Hughes to the finals they decide to forget all of that and burn his jersey. Also, Miami fans are douches, acting all high and mighty.
I also won't vote with the love/hate extremes. I liked LeBron before - marveled by his talents and ability to apply them perfectly in games, met him once and was very impressed by his classiness and polish. But I don't go around cheering for other teams or their players. I don't begrudge him for leaving, I don't think he owed Cleveland a lifetime of service just because he was raised there. I do think he misses out on being a true living legend by leaving and becoming one member of a superteam. I do think a little less of him for how incredibly callous and unaware he seems to be about scarring Cleveland. The Boston series was bad. Having a lackey call the team 2 minutes before the ESPN announcement was classless. If he had any heart, his focus would have been on easing the blow on a devastated state of Ohio. Instead, his focus was on that MTV-awards style ESPN2 coming out party. I don't hate LeBron, I don't hate the Heat team - I'm interested to see how they work out on the court. I think it's cool that for once money didn't mean everything and friendship mattered more. I think Cleveland is more than entitled to heap all manners of crap on LeBron going forward. This was unprecedented - how many times before has a guy this good, this meaningful, in his prime, jilted a hometown fanbase like this? The nearest I can think of offhand was Gretzky, but that wasn't his hometown and it wasn't his doing at all. And it's still upsetting to folks in Canada to this day.
