One of my all time favs by Fleetwood Mac (pre chicks) is "Love that Burns."

One of my favs from Santana is "Soul Sacrifice".

How about "I Only Have Eyes for You" - Can't remember the artist- ?The Platters?

    "Sledgehammer" Peter Gabriel

    "Mr Roboto" - Styxx

    "I'm Crying" - Savoy Brown

    Thunder Road-The Boss

"Screen door slams/ Mary's dress waves/ Like a vision she dances across the porche as the radio plays/ Roy Orbison singing for the lonely/ Hey that's me and I want you only/ Don't turn me home again i just can't face myself alone again"

That's as close to poetry as rock gets

I love the video for Sledgehammer...Gabriel is one goofy mo-fo...:)

Mr Roboto??? I actually prefer older Styx...I looked back at my list and am really surprised I didn't have any on there..

My favs from them are probably more along the lines of Grand Illusion...Miss America..Babe... Great Stuff...before DeYoung managed to wuss them out..

And then I didn't put any Metal-claw on there either..what was I thinking??
    Fav Metallica songs,

    The Four Horseman
    Hit the Lights
    Fade To Black
    Sanitarium...

I think I could probably make a complete list of a couple of hundred if I really think about it...:D

Some great choices, here, Patience. I actually listened to "New Dawn Fades" this morning, the original version, that is, which was done by Joy Division.

Uh,oh... snob alert!:D J/K I also really like "Too Much Time on My Hands."

Thought of another one: "Saved by Zero" - The Fixx

Yeah, I'm basically stuck in the 70's-80's.

    Ronstadt in 71

    Moe,

To be fair..I did like the Kilroy album..I just wasn't real crazy about Roboto... I saw them touring that year at the Texxas Jam with Sammy,Triumph,Ted Nugent, and I believe Uriah Heep...

I was one of the few thousand that didn't leave b4 they came on...after Sammy's encore most ppl figgered Styx wouldn't be able to get even close....but the "concept play" they did was kinda cool...

Makes sense. I saw the Eagles outdoors at Jeppesen Stadium, sometime in the early 70's. There were 3 or 4 bands there. I can't remember if Linda Rondstadt was there or not. Very well could have been. I did see her live somewhere. It's hell to get old.
