Meth is much much worse. much much much much worse. The guy who created it (hired by the US Gov) studied the side effects and wrote a full report on how bad it was and how no one should ever take it. He was killed.
This. Meth is waaaaay more devastating than Crack... I mean, come on! Crack at least comes from some sort of plant. Meth can be made from:: Gasoline additives, rubbing alcohol, ether, benzene, paint thinner, freon, acetone, chloroform, camp stove fuel, Toluene, Drain cleaner and Battery Acid!
I could never understand how anyone could take a drug that is well known to cause serious addiction to it. I mean, you basically choose to eff yourself because you just want to see what it's like. Why?

I think he was joking about conspiracy theorists. At least I hope he was. Methamphetamine was first synthesized in Japan in the 19th Century.
As opposed to crack where the benefits far outweigh the side effects? The fact that people think meth is far worse than crack is a testament to the power of the public PR campaigns. In the 1980's the same people would all be saying that meth is nothing compared to crack. In the 70's they'd say both are child's play compared to the true scourge that is heroin. Don't mistake the fact that meth is a worse public health problem at the moment for any intrinsic potential for destroying life that the drugs possess.
