Which situation do you prefer?

  1. Be like Boston from 03' - 08' (Lottery 4 yrs, then won it all)

    30.3%
  2. Be like S.A. from 08' - 13' (Contender every year, but no championships)

    32.3%
  3. Be Like Charlotte from then - now (high lotto pick every year, with terrible management)

    7.1%
  4. I don't care I just want to watch exciting Rockets basketball

    47.5%

I'm not sure if you read the actual poll or just saw the teams, but I'm not referring to the past 5 years, I'm referring to 03' - 08', which un-coincidentally refers to the previous 5 years in which they never got out of the 1st round and were by all accounts terrible, until trading for KG and Ray Allen and winning it all in 08'.

I think it's a dumb choice too, but a lot of people on this board are in love so much with "building through the draft" and "homegrown talent" that they actually believe it would be the best option. And I'm not asking "Hey guys, would you rather be Charlotte, Boston or the SA Spurs", I'm asking which of their eras would people prefer. And surprisingly the winner so far, is being a good quality team year in and year out, despite not having a championship.

I liked the Spurs situation out of that list because that core on the 08-13 teams has 4 chips in the 15 years with a possibility of a 5th this year.

I love anything that has a "5th" in it.;)
