    That works for me too

And when I dont have the glass of water I use the hold-your-breath method

honest to God method that works every time, if you are interested...

    1. fill a glass with water (1/4 full or so)
    2. while standing straight up, take a deep breath then exhale completely.
    3. take a generous swig of the water, but do not swallow (hold in your mouth).
    4. bend slowly at the waist, all the way towards your toes
    5. rise slowly
    6. once you reach the halfway point, swallow the water (do not breathe afterwards!)
    7. continue to rise to your fullest point.
    8. breathe in.

have done this for years and it always works. have suggested it to friends, as well, and it has always worked. compresses and flushes all trapped air from your diaphragm.

    This works for me..

Go to a water fountain, and drink the water like a dog does with your tongue out.

When I get the hiccups, I just decide to stop hiccuping.....

    .....and it works, every time.

    Power of the mind, grasshoppers.

Just ignore them and they go away on their own, like kids that tease you in grade school.

The way that always works for me is to simply try and say out loud when the next one will be.
