Landry has been an excellent mid season surprise.

I suspect Rafer isn't getting a lot of votes because expectations are that he won't keep it up.

Now that the pressure is off, I think he can perform as needed.

Carl Mandry! We had better keep him.

scola is doing exactly what we saw him do in the olympics which is a surprise in how quickly he adapted but i was expecting this kind of production from him eventually.

carl landry came out of a summer league and pre-season of nothing to being an absolute beast. just shocking the world.

i'm gonna go most surprising - landry

    most impressive - scola

I love what Landry has done, but he was an unknown for me whereas Rafer has been a mediocre starting point guard(compared to most other Western Conference starters) for years. What he's done in '08 is nothing short of stunning. Especially considering the Rockets were practically begging teams to take him off our hands during the offseason.

So Rafer gets my vote. Landry is a close 2nd though.

There is no right or wrong answer. You can make a strong argument for Rafer, Scola, and Landry.

I voted for everyone, but my nod goes to Scola based on his larger body of work. Landry has blown me away too.

This is the deepest the Rockets have ever been. Morey has done a great job of bringing in talent.

I chose Landry because he has completely surprised me...I had no idea he could ball like this...

I'm also surprised with Scola, but I anticipated him playing well so I can't say I'm completely surprised.

Im going with Rafer because even he thought he wouldnt be on the team to start the year. Then not only does he win the starting job, he begins the season as probably the worst PG in the league. He had James ready to take his job, Francis next, and finally Brooks. Yet he was able to keep the job and start to excel. He has played great for several weeks now and is doing so even though the majority of fans are still waiting for him to fall apart again.

Scola and Landry have been great but I dont think they have the pressure on them like Alston does. Fans are quick to forgive any mistake these two make cuz they are rookies.

Wish I could have two votes. It's Louis and Carl for me but gave the edge to Louis

    Shane B.

You'd have to go back to Hakeem to see defense that compares. He is everywhere, every game. Plus, his offense isn't too shabby.

    I'm impressed.

I voted Louis Scola, but I probably should have picked the last option.

I was just trying to decide whose jersey I was going to buy at the game tonight. I am actually leaning towards Battier, even though I voted for Scola. I just want to make sure whoever's jersey I invest in will be here for a long time. Thoughts???

Looks like the people have spoken. Carl Landry looks to be the winner in a land slide.
