Aside from Dream, who was really shafted, I think the most messed up treatment we had was with Slowmile Swift. I mean, the Rox wined and dined him, fans sent him letters telling him to come here, Tmac promised to make him an all-star, and less than a season we traded his dumb ass back to the very franchise he hated and was happy to get away from: Memphis. Sure 100% was due to him sucking, but still, that was some damn cold hearted thinking. I can just picture him on his knees in the G.M.'s office pleading "no, anything but that..." LOL

Another one on my list is Mike Harris. We cut the poor guy what, 3 times now? LOL NBA is crazy legit nba player like Harris can't stick with a team while bums like Cook and Scalabrine make millions sitting on a bench

I live in DC and James on the radio the other day talking about how trades were nothing to him. How he was still making 7 million dollars and didnt care one bit where that paycheck came from. He said he was ready to get traded again cuz the Wizards treat him like the worst player on their team. He wasnt a jerk about it, actually he was really funny when talking about it, but all that family and being settled talk from his Houston days was much different then his attitude now.

I always thought it was a shame Hakeem didn't finish up here....but the guy was done and still wanted more and more money. He rejected a 3 year 13 million contract, which I thought was pretty generous considering how quickly he was declining...instead he signed with the Raptors(well traded) for 22 million for 3. He looked so slow and old out there, hell he was playing behind Keon Clark for most of the season  , then of course he retired after one season with Toronto.

It was a business decision he made to play in Toronto, I think it was all about the money, but people will think it was a pride thing. He knew he could make more elsewhere even though he knew he couldn't play. In the end the Raptors tried to buy him out but he refused(big shock), and he got all of his contract money from insurance and the raptors organization.

I think the Rockets screwed over Mike James.

First we traded for him, and he was a beast for us during that first season and into the playoffs.

Then, we lose him to free agency and trade for him again. His minutes are lost in the rotation, even though we know Mike can shoot. He struggled in RA's system, but many players have.

Then, we trade him to New Orleans with Bonzi during our playoff push.

Mike hasn't been the same player since.

I still wish we would have kept him for leadership or a spark off of the bench.

After seeing Landry this season, it is obvious that Morey was simply trying to lower his value. He wanted Landry to have a surgery to see if he was worth the contract? In hindsight, it now seems way to radical. It might sting us in the back when his contract expires.
