I was just looking through past Rockets coaches and I wonder which one of them would be a good fit with this roster? I think this is the perfect team for Adelman so that's why I said past.

Btw I had no idea Del Harris coached this team! The guy must be so old!

Rudy T would be the last Coach to be selected by me. This team needs a strong hand and strong leadership by the coach.Rudy was the type of coach who had to have players who knew their role and were mature in their responseThis team has several players who find it difficult to play team basketball. Two of them played here on a previous occasion and the result hasn't improved much. :p

I voted for Don Chaney cause of his genius at the Pick-N-Roll.
Plus I feel bad for him getting the blame in New York when we all know that their team is just garbage.

I was thinking about how JVG would totally kill on the defense with Battier and Scola on the same team. SF3, Tmac, Battier, Scola, Yao would be an instant #1 D in the universe.

Scola wouldn't get to play with JVG. He turns the ball over too much and fouls like there's no tomorrow. Hayes would be getting all the minutes. Francis would probably start over Alston.

Didn't Hayes have the same problem when he first came around? Hayes still fouls a lot, but I think Jeff would've sat through Scola's turnovers. Plus he's a quick learner.

For some reason I think JVG would start Rafer no matter what. I don't know what it is with him and his man love for Rafer.

Scola would be an instant starter under JVG. If he fouls, so what? Hayes will come right in for him, no biggie. And under JVG's system, since TMac/Yao do most of the initiating, Scola and Francis wouldn't be put in a position to commit turnovers. Scola would have been great under JVG, cutting, taking open jump shots, getting offensive boreds. Francis would have filled that Bob Sura role both left behind.

Oh well, we have Adelman now. I just don't want to see us averaging over 20 turnovers a game and Yao playing small forward.

SF3 for a starter? JVG would trade SF3 again.
