I couldn't get that link to work. It comes up as ************.com. Clutch may block whatever site that is.

I'll second (or third) the Kenny Thomas idea. I'd take him at our 4 spot in a heartbeat.

Undersized yes, but I'll take his 14.5 points and 8.7 rebounds anyday. Very reliable (doesn't get injured) and underrated.

    Gotta go with Cat.

I'm guessing that some of those names were for coaching.

This argument has been taken entirely out of context. It went from asking, "Which former Rocket do you want back with the team the most" to a moot point attack on former players and their envolvements in today's game to wham, bam "Hakeem as an Executive" and how that would work out.

That simply wasn't my intention. My point behind providing the link (that didn't work) of current NBA GM's is to point out how many ex-players are on there. That's not even including coaches. Its pointless to attack former players and their involvements in today's game because of MJ and the Wizards.

I answered the original question by basically saying I would like to see him have any kind of personnel, scouting or position along those lines he's ready for. I'm not saying he should be our next GM, i'm saying maybe start out small as a scout since he's a popular universal figure then work his way up or something along those lines. If coaching would interest him, give him a shot there---being better than Patrick Ewing is nothing new to him, I think its logical to assume he could be a better coach as well.

Ultimately, this is probably all pointless though. I am aware he's happy where he is and its unlikely he'll ever move back to America or to accept a job within the organization, for that matter. Its just more or less, me dreamcasting & hoping there could ever be an effective role for him within this organization again--just in a different capacity. When most people think Rockets in a traditional sense, he's the man that comes to mind. I just still have that empty feeling since the fallout with the Rockets, the trade & the retirement.....hasn't been the same.

I gotta go with Cassel. His BB IQ is too high to pass up. I think that the injuries would be my biggest concern. But it's work the risk, esp. if we can get him on the cheap or MLE.

Titto Madoox. I'm sure we can work out a sign and trade with Bubbles Car Wash to get him back. We may have to give up a first round pick, but it'd be worth it.

I would prefer Mobley, Posey or Horry for the right price. however I think Eddie money wise is a realistic target that can give us a lot of what Stromile Swift and Chris Anderson for a cheaper price and then we can focus our money on the athletic two and the point guard. honestly of the three I take Griffen maybe even based on consistent talent.
