Well, the Spurs weren't even in the playoffs last year and they're in the Finals this year, largely powered by players they developed. OKC traded for SGA and developed him into a superstar, and their starting five and bench is full of guys they developed. Rockets have two first round exits against teams that they absolutely should have run out of the gym. Their bench is mostly old vets who can't contribute much, outside of Okogie and occasionally Reed. It's pretty fair to say that the Rockets as an organization are not that good at developing players when most of their bench and two of their projected starters next year (FVV/KD) weren't developed by them. They've also lost consecutive elimination games at home, presumably so they can start their summer vacations without a flight of shame home first.
