Which decade do you think had the best music? 50s had some early Elvis and good country songs, 60s had the Beatles and Rolling Stones, 70s had some classic hard rock like KISS and Sex Pistols, 80s had Hair Metal bands, 90s had rap and grunge, 2000s well um...

I was born in the 80s, and I love 90s music... but the 60s had the best music ever and its not really even debatable.

How about the late 60's early 70's? I don't have a preference for either the 60's or the 70's on their own, but 65 -75 is probably my favorite 10 year span in music.

I grew up in the 90's therefore I headbang, where flanel shirts, and worship Beavis and Butthead.

The best alternative rock will ever get.

I really like the synth sounds of the 80's looking back in retrospect. I only got into music in the mid 90's so alot of my tastes are influenced by that grunge scene.

i grew up in the 80's and 90's so i love the alt rock bands of the 90's. However i've shifted on my favorite time period. 1975 to 1988 is probably my favorite. You had the emergence of AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Boston, Bruce Springsteen, Cheap Trick, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Queen, etc... among others.

Alternative rock or rock altogether will never be at the level it was in the 90's.

I grew up in the 80's and 90's, love both genres but will always be influenced by early 90's alt rock

90s, 80s, then 60s. I grew up to rap, and it's still my favorite genre of music.

90's - alt rock, jazz-sampling hip-hop, and the rave scene peaked. That's all you need to know about me.

It truly depends on your tastes

Late 60s -70s - golden Age of R&B - from the Temps to Marvin Gaye
    80s - I happen to like Synth/rock/etc of this era . .
Late 80s - 90s - hip Hop at its finest

I'm not big on the Rock from the 60s and 70s
I mean I like some but I'm not in Awe of it . . .
[ok I was not overly exposed to it either and am not a musician]

too subjective i think for most people the era they grew up will always be the best for them...at least the era where they could be first influenced by music.

there are a lot of 60s/70s/ especially 80s songs I absolutely LOVE but i grew up in the 90s (years 8-18 of my life) so for me it would definitely be the 90s. i think for kids nowadays they hear songs from the 90s and they look all confused and weirded out for the most part. I am the same with songs from the 00s (especially in the last 5 years)

easiest way to put it, i absolutely love playing any and every songs that is termed 90s in the rockband games i've downloaded so many...not so much the newer stuff not really my type

my godson who also has rockband who is nearly 10 years younger than me has downloaded most of the 00s songs available and hasnt touch any of the 90s songs.

    its just the exposure.
