I have a stinking feeling McHale will still the coach after this season.

That would be great for me. I'm so productive now. I don't have to watch from beginning to end, maybe I'll catch the highlights.

...wow, you're really on a tear of increasingly terrible posts.

With the way fans blame the coach for every little thing, I don't know if that's such a good thing.

If we arent going with a well known established guy with some authority and control-- I'd love to go with a classy Younger college guy.

Donovan would be a nice name and theres a connection with Parsons, but I would absolutely love Shaka Smart. His offensive system would mesh with Morey, he's young but has a Mike Tomlin no nonsense demeanor that players would respect. Don't think you can press like VCU does in the NBA, and don't know if he can coach a big like Dwight--but I'd absolutely love Shaka Smart to get a shot.

I know were not rebuilding like the Celtics who were able to sit on Brad Stevens, but man...

May as well just hire Nevada Smith then. Keep Finch as the offensive assistant and bring in a defensive minded coach I say.

I've wanted JVG back for years. We've got the offense covered, Jeff's teams were always tough and defensive-oriented. I know many here don't want to go down that road again, but I think he could do wonders with this crew.

Avery Johnson... Jerry Sloan would have been nice but he's done. Not JVG because he's clearly demented and says some of the dumbest things these days. He did say something violent he wanted to do and the other guy tried to get him to rescind his statements. It was ****ed up...

well, at the very least then... this ardent defense of the coach by some of the fans would be understandable...

This team is built for JVG to mold. With Beverley, Asik, and Howard, you got the anchors for his defense, and he's always known how to milk his star wing players. (maybe a little too much.) Role players like Jones and Parsons would thrive under his system. There would of course be trades, but the core components seem to be there.

I'd also like to see Battier brought back as an assistant coach after he retires from playing. Think he could do wonders bridging the stats part of the game to what happens on the court.

If Chris Finch is going to be the next coach, I will seriously be pissed off. This team is immature and we need a veteran and disciplinary coach who will hold Harden accountable.

This is all very interesting but I do not see any circumstance under which Kevin McHale is NOT the coach next year.
    Get used too it.

What I suspect Will happen is an assistant coach hiring that matches much of the criteria laid out here. Yes we miss Kelvin Sampson. It is what it is.
