    is this a joke? dalembert or bosh? i seriously doubt we're getting bosh anyhow. i think no one will want mac, his contract is too big to move and we don't have any takers. i think we'll let his contract run out, then sign a few players next year and hope that yao comes back healthy next year.

    Agreed.

    IMO the majority of big names(Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Stoudemire) will stick with their current teams seeing how they make the playoffs this year and will likely be able to resign them for a good amount. The big names will have winning as a priority and the only other teams with the cap space to sign them will be lottery bound.

    Unless sign and trades happen or another Boston Celtics type of situation happens where a team signs a big name and has space for another I can't see these big names moving.

    Players that won't stay with their current teams are Stoudemire, Gay, Johnson.

    Gay said earlier in the season that he'll test the market. Stoudemire already said he will like to play for a larger market. Expect those two players to have new teams next summer.

    Bosh and Wade will team in Miami is my gut feeling. If Bosh leaves Toronto he'll leave as far away from Toronto and his Home as possible. Any offer he will recieve will force Toronto into the LT situation. Players normally don't like forcing teams to even have to pay the LT, because this means they'll have trouble bringing in players.

    LeBron will stay in Cleveland.

    Miami = Bosh
    Houston = Stoudemire through three team trade with Golden State
    Cleveland = LeBron
    Toronto = Johnson

    This leaves Gay with NJ, NY, Memphis, Houston, Chicago

    What are the chances of Gay staying in Memphis? Very slim.

    i could easily see Bosh going to Miami, him and Wade would contend.

    LeBron will probably stay in Cleveland, agreed.

    Why would JJ go to Toronto?
    can't see a 3 team trade with stat ending up here.

    just face it, we're stuck with mac's contract, when it runs out, i'm sure morey'll sign a few more ariza type contracts, and hope Yao comes back strong, which i doubt. :(

    can't see us winning a championship anytime soon unless

    1. Yao comes back healthy (highly unlikely)
    2. we get 2-3 young rotational players for mac's contract (highly unlikely)
    3. get another big that can actually play, not anderson, not cook type players. (possible)

    even if we get a few more players, if we don't have a dominant Yao, we can't beat the Lakers , Boston, Orlando, SA, Dallas, and possibly Cleveland in a 7 game series. the other teams have too much height, size, depth compared to our collection of 2nd rounders + an aging Battier.

    Because when Bosh leaves Toronto they'll use his cap space and chase the next available player. Remember Davis and Maggets swap trade?

    Golden State indicates they'll swing a major deal nothing minor. Stoudemire to Houston was being discussed during the offseason. Barbosa is out another month. Ellis is out which means both team will have to throw in Maggette, Biedrins, Richardson, McGrady, Scola, Lowry. Hence in any Mcgrady trade taking back salary they'll need to move Scola and Lowry too chances are they'll walk. They won't use the MLE.

    Portland is looking for a bigman another move here 'could be' Gay to Houston along with Bayless and Outlaw then Conley, Battier, Thabeet to Portland and then Ariza, Miller to Memphis.

    Memphis claims they were going to trade Gay and don't feel confident enough in resigning him. They was going to use Gay to bring in scoring and defense. This means they were going to trade Gay to give more shots to Gasol, Randolph, Mayo, Ariza (since he is locked up) with Miller running the point. If not then they'll use a pick, but they are loaded with additional bigmen and Miller and McMillian don't get along to well. Pryzbilla and Oden gone for the season so they are hurting for size. Houston could use this move to unload salary and try to resign Gay. Stoudemire and Yao could opt out and then resign?

    The Rockets need a rebounding center who plays defense. Dalembert is a rebounding center who plays defense.

    McGrady, Maggette, Azibuke to Phoenix
    Scola, Lowry, Richardson to Golden State
    Stoudemire, Biedrins, Wright to Houston

    Then

    Thabeet, Battier, Conley to Portland
    Miller, Ariza to Memphis
    Gay, Bayless, Outlaw to Houston
