I forgot to list that I saw Elvis at the Rodeo when I was a kid.

Don't remember too much about it. Must have been all the drugs I did back then!

    :D

Nope this was the big rodeo in the Dome. Late 60s-early 70s sometime. I was around 8 or 9 years old.

I saw her too. I wasn't really that hyped to go see her, I just went with a friend that had an extra ticket. She really put on an energetic show and then she switched to acoustic and was even better.

With a relatively strict definition of "big-name" (no Yo La Tengo or John Hartford), and in rough chronological order from around 1983 (when I was 11) to 1991 (when I realized that I really didn't enjoy concerts):

Culture Club (my sister wanted to go)
    "Weird Al" Yankovic
Willie Nelson (my parents wanted to go)
    Bruce Hornsby and the Range
    Don Henley
    Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
    Bo Diddley
    Bob Dylan

Thanks Manny, but I'm pretty sure UT weezer and most everyone else here is cooler than me.

BTW, if you were here in San Diego tonight, we could go see the New York Dolls (or whats left of them - Johansen and Sylvain) at the House of Blues and have that beer

One day you need to tell me where you are and I'll get a plane ticket to meet you. I have a feeling we could spend HOURS talking about music. Hell, it is the least I could do (get on a plane and buy you a beer) after you introduced me to Roxy Music.

Right now I have gotten back on an Indie kick and am listening to Interpol's 2nd album (highly underrated) and will follow that with "Funeral" by Arcade Fire.
