Completely forgot about Chris Isaak. Great show.

I saw Billy Corgan play a few Christmas carols and Jeff Tweedy perform at Second City Chicago this past Christmas. Does that count?

Forgot about Genesis. I had horrible seats behind the stage that turned out to be great because they were RIGHT BEHIND Chester Thompson. That was more like a clinic than a concert.

Did you see Living Colour in 88 at Club Xcess?

    You betcha!

From past conversations on here, I think you, Jeff and I were all at the same show. Best live show I've seen as well. The energy that they put out was amazing.

    Rush - 4 times
    Van Halen - 3 times
    Metallica - 3 times
    Pink Floyd - 2 times
    Iron Maiden - 2 times
    Pantera - 2 times
    AC/DC
    Judas Priest
    Alice Cooper
    Motley Crue
    Dio
Ozzy (the alleged No More Tours tour...ha!)
    Black Sabbath's 1st reunion tour
    Page and Plant
    Aerosmith
    Slayer
    Motorhead
The Lollapolooza with Alice in Chains, Primus, Rage, etc.

I'm sure there were many more, but these are the only ones I could think of that I freely admit to, as far as big names.

I've seen smaller names like King Diamond, Testament and Down at club shows.

Of the shows listed above, the only one that sucked was the 3rd time to see Metallica...after the "black" album came out. Such a sell-out ridden, pale shadow of their former selves, that I actually left halfway through.

The sad thing is, since I've moved to Charlotte, I have not been to a single concert. Charlotte sometimes gets passed over in favor of other close by cities like Greensboro, Raleigh or Greenville, SC. I've heard that the soon to be defunct Charlotte Coliseum is a crappy venue for shows. Now that the new arena is about to open, there should be some good shows coming here.

i've only seen the white stripes (in awesome vancouver) in my life. its hard to catch good bands when you're in malaysia. the only bands that make their way here are the likes of hoobastank, linkin park, etc.

i tried to catch dave matthews band in montreal for their sept gig a few years back, but i'm always back home in malaysia and my flight back to canada is ALWAYS like arriving on the day of the concert itself, except for this year where i actually spent my summer here, and of course dave matthews band decided this is the year that they're not playing in montreal. by the way, am i the only one who doesnt like their new album?

Nope. It's hated by a lot of fans, even though I dig it. It's different than the older stuff, but it's still better than most stuff out there, IMO. The critics finally love something they've done though.

Also, the new songs are supposed to be amazing live. For one thing, the band loves them, so they bring more energy to those songs and it has apparently rolled over into the non-new stuff to make for an amazing tour. I can't wait until next Monday!

I go to a lot of local shows, but I shy away from the larger national shows.
So, I have a very short list:

    U2 -1987
    REM - 1990?
    Rush - circa 1993
    Paul McCartney - circa 1992
Johnny Cash - circa 1976 (my first concert.)
Howard Jones - had his 15 minutes back in 1985

I guess I could add The Toadies and The Butthole Surfers.
