Chris Bosh will be a Rocket by year's end. And our future. Before the deadline McGrady & whatever other pieces will be moved to acquire him.
Talk about deducing off the strength of an unwarranted assumption. I don't see any considerable reason to think we will make a trade.
What's with this sudden poll? I think at this point we're pretty much set. If there's ever gonna be a trade it has to be in the middle of next season.
None. Between the big guys we've brought in, and what we have at PF, and considering that we're not going to be ambitious this year, anyhow, we don't specifically need another big guy. Morey will just keep looking for deals where he can find them. If a nice deal for a big guy pops up, Morey will pull the trigger.
Troy Murphy as a Rocket would be awesome. Dude puts up big stats (reb and 3pt%) and is under-rated in every year. I still think its a pipe dream though.
I'm not talking next week. Anytime before the trade deadline is what I expect. I expect us to be competitive and for Morey to make a move at some point before the trade deadline right up to the trade deadline to add a big.
Sure he's a pf but he can definitely play center some know him as STAT but just call him Amare, Amare Stoudamire pretty please with a cherry on top! He'd be great with Yao plus we'd have David Andersen and Scola/Landry off the bench hell if Amare had a little bit better handles we could play big, really big T-mac 6'8 T-Rza ( working title for Trevor)6'8 Amare 6'10 David Andersen 7' Yao Ming 7'6
I don't think he should pull the trigger yet. Give Anderson and co a chance to prove thereselves and dont trade away a key piece to our future. I think it would be wise to stay put and let this team play. We always seem to outdue what is expected of us
Anderson can get all the chance he wants. But be realistic. The game has 48 minutes. Do you really expect him to play 30-35 productive minutes, against legit big men? I'm sure he can stand out there at the top of the key and knock down the J, but he is going to get tortured defensively. He will be in foul trouble early and often. And then where are we? Back to being severely undersized up front. And Thabeet is a rookie 2nd pick of the draft. They aren't going to trade him this year.
So if McGrady doesn't go out, how do you acquire Amare? I can't see it. Is PHX going to take Shane, Landry, Taylor or Budinger plus all our expirings, plus our 2010 first rounder for Amare? Dunno man.
Agreed. We can make it a month with the gang of 5s we have but if we try to make it a whole season with this crew, then we are just killing time until next year.
It's ironic that the Bobcats are shallow at power forward, yet have an overabundance of centers. It's not the worst thing to have too many centers – they're hard to find when injuries occur – but the Bobcats have tied up nearly $25million this season on Tyson Chandler, Nazr Mohammed and DeSagana Diop. Not all three can play. Mohammed hardly played the second half of last season, and coach Larry Brown now says that probably wasn't fair. Mohammed appears to be in great shape this offseason, so he should be a factor. Charlotte Observer Blog Read more: http://www.insidehoops.com/nba_rumors.shtml#ixzz0SJpySCQ5
Yes, they signed him just over a year ago to an offer sheet we matched. In fact, the anniversary of that offer sheet was on Friday. During the past year, Landry could nix any trade involving him if he didn't want to go to the team involved, and he couldn't be traded at all to Charlotte. Now he has no veto power in a trade to any team, including Charlotte. And tomorrow, Charlotte can trade Tyson Chandler in a multiplayer trade if they so wanted. He was traded from New Orleans 60 days ago. Chandler is no great shakes but he'd only be overpaid for the final 2 years on his contract. Charlotte actually is sitting pretty as far as power forwards go, if you consider Diaw their starting 4. In fact, he's the player I'd like to acquire. He'd certainly fit the bill in an Adelman system with his passing. I wouldn't mind Landry and McGrady going to Charlotte for some of their players. Hell, there are articles on them shopping Raja Bell, a decent 2 and an expiring contract. Didn't McGrady's wife attend NC State? They'd deal with it there.
I'm looking forward to something next week..hopefully Morey can still find a real quality Center for us..
