    this

I don't understand why people would want Lee when Scola gives you the same at much less.

Would we be allowed to trade the Knicks back their picks?

David Lee is not an option.

Any attempt to sign-and-trade for him would likely involve HELPING THE KNICKS. One way or the other. Good draft pick, decent rotation players, slightly reduced cap hit....and added ability to sign LeBron, Bosh, whomever.....

....thereby killing the value of the picks we get from the Knicks.

Stoudemire is "gettable" and would bring us beloved TV dollars. Phoenix is ALWAYS on TV, good Lord. But he's an American model car. Might break down early and then give you high-priced fits and starts until you can replace him....4 years down the road.

Boozer scores well, passes well, but plays almost no D. And he's actually closer to 6'7" than 6'9".

Bosh is the obvious target. If we get him, we'll all be doing backflips and somersaults. But if we trade any of our halfway-decent defenders (Hayes, Shane, Kyle, Jeffries, Ariza, Yao) to get him, well, the Rox had better put up some gaudy numbers, because Bosh + Martin + Brooks = state-sanctioned defensive raping, and a giant pimp-slap in the playoffs when defense is needed so badly.

We could use Turiaf at backup center, and I wouldn't mind grooming Randolph for the future, but I don't see any scenario with Golden State that wouldn't involve acquiring a contract we don't want.

I would love to see Bosh as a Rocket. If there is any way Morey can pull this then he would be a man amongst boys in regards of GM's.

Just think Martin's scoring and three throws, Brooks penetration and jumper, a healthy Yao (this is still up in the air) clogging up the middle on defensive, and Bosh's athleticism and scoring.

In reality I think Morey goes and gets someone we are not really thinking too much about or possible Boozer.

With NY's pick next year, next off season could be even more thrilling due to NY not picking up Lebron or Wade ;)

I would like to keep Scola, but to back up Amar'e. Amar'e is a better offensive player than Bosh, better shot blocker and just as good rebounder. People knock Amar'e's lack of defense, but Bosh lacks physicality and his defense is nothing special. Plus Amar'e can play backup minutes at C, Bosh cannot.

I would rather have Amar'e over Bosh.

Can Scola be included in a sign-n-trade with other players? I thought there was a rule about that.

Most likely it would be Bosh thru sign and trade. That would hugely depends on if Knicks would be able to get Lebron or Wade.

most likely cases would be Lebron staying put and so will Wade. Amare will be going to Heat with beasly to suns.

Bosh willl come to us and we will lose Scola.

I like the Jefferson/Rubio idea best in terms of the players we would get. Im not quite sure how a deal would work though.

Also, i've heard that if you put "no homophobia" after a sentence it completely defuses the homophobic tendencies of that sentence.

    I like/agree with the list.

Bosh is definitely my first choice. I'd say Lee 2nd then Amare or Boozer..... I just don't like Boozer cuz he plays for the Jazz.... if we were to get him, hopefully we would get him early in the summer, so I'd have the whole summer to get over the fact that he's a Utah Jazz #$@$ in my mind.

None of them. Most likely, we will draft a big man with a upper 1st rd pick this summer.

Has anyone given any thought to Jermaine O'Neal as a back up C for a reasonable price?

He has a history of injuries and has slowed down. I would pass upon him.
