Read the post again, Hayesfan. Notice the distinct lack of punctuation. I do not believe that you are intrepreting moestavern19's post correctly. The post does not mean "If the Rockets get Bosh or Lee, then moes will pleasure Daryl Morey orally." I believe moes means that either (a) Chris Bosh will provide Daryl Morey with oral pleasure or (b) David Lee and moes will team up to give Daryl Morey oral pleasure (sort of like that Guantanamo Bay scene with Harold, Kumar and the guards).

If the Rockets can't get any of these guys they need to bring Brad Miller with their Mid-Calss to backup Yao and leave Scola starting at PF. Boozer is too expensive and he's getting older, Amare seems like he wants to go to Miami, Bosh will likely stay in Toronto and the other 2 big names will stay put ( Lebron and Wade ) I think.

By the shear volume of opinions and options brought up, it seems like no one really has a clue regarding what big man will get. The good news is that we do not have to get a star big, there are a wide range of bigs to be had across the full spectrum of skills, and we have several avenues to acquire said big.

I personally would love it if Jordan Hill turned into a solid rotation player with good defense and shot blocking, but that's probably unlikely.

Bosh or a drift pick. Why do we need Lee when we have Scola? Lee is much more expensive than Scola, and addition of Lee also does not change whole picture of the team.

Maybe David Lee if he doesn't have many offers, or a sign n trade for Boozer that will most likely include Scola.

I don't think we are really able to get Amare or Bosh. The first will stay in Phx, and the second will be gone to a team with big cap space and popularity.

Players that I really hope to see in a Rox Jersey.

1)Anthony Randolph. Looks real easy on the eye, but you just have to wonder why Nellie is not playing him in a team that is lacking in big man.

2)Jermaine O'neil. Still like his game, especially when he could be had for cheap.
13/7 in just 30 minutes looks good no matter how you look at it.

3)Okafor/Chandler. Good defenders on both 1-on-1 and help D, but their contract is just so huge.

4)Troy Murphy. Good shooter, decent defender. Huge contract.

Pipe Dream- Josh Smith or Gerard Wallace.

Where is Robert Horry v2.0? Could that be Cousin?

Just do not like the addition of Bosh, Amare, Boozer, Lee and Jefferson. They are all players that will be looking for their own shot before passing the ball. Something that you do not want when you have players like Brooks/Martin/Yao.

The only FA I would want us to put a serious push to get would be Lee, other then that, I would go for drafting a PF or depending on Hill's development, resigning Scola with the idea that Hill might be able to take over as starter in the 2011-2012 season.

But no to Boozer or Amare, I for some reason don't see us landing Bosh either.

Seeing how Morey does business, I think if we do not get Bosh in a S&T it will be another PF that we had no idea was a target. I think he is looking for a PF that is about 6'10 that can also play backup C. Is a good rebounder and is good defensively. I don't think he is looking for a all offense PF. We need that long athletic guy that can cover the paint on defense. Probably doesnt even need to be a starter either. If Hill develops we could have two of those types. That would be great for years to come.

bosh is the ideal player. he fits in this system perfectly offensively and he is a franchise-type of player on that side of the ball. he has been so ridiculously good this year, yet I think he will be that much better under adelman's system.

he's not a defensive stopper but he's athletic enough to play defense.

if we do get bosh, i might just become one of those teeny boppers in the late 90s

What many on this board have pointed out is that a Yao centered offense doesn't win in the playoffs. Yao is an amazing player, but the observers here are right, he's not an automatic two late in games in crunch time. Its too easy to take things away from him.

Thus, we need a big time 4 to compliment the scorers we have and Yao. Our goal is not to win 60 games, its to win a championship.

From this list, Bosh is by far the best player, but he has shown that even with an okay supporting cast, he can't take his team anywhere in the weak East. He is not the answer.

Amare, Boozer, Lee- eh eh and eh. Amare was a great player, never was anything on defense, and will never be a major component of a championship team. He doesn't have the will or the selflessness.

Boozer's balls literally shrink come playoff time.

Lee is a supporting cast member, period.

So with our precious resources, who should we invest in?
Trading UP in the draft. Get one of Favors, Cousins, or Aminu. Each brings a compelling component to our frontline and all have the potential to grow into a centerpiece. They come cheap and they come hungry. Think about a three man rotation of Yao, Favors/Cousins/Aminu, and Hill. We could easily compete with the Laker's big 3 front line.

    Thank you!

"No Homo" is the stupidest thing ever created, right up there with "I don't mean to sound racist but (says something racist)"

And on a serious note, some of you are seriously underrating David Lee.

He is a beast on the boards and a joy to watch offensively.

I'd love to have him here.

I like the Jefferson/Rubio idea. Amare would be great, but it sure does not sound like he is interested in Houston. I would love to get him for the rumored Battier/Scola deal. His outside shooting ability would be lethal with Brooks, Martin and Yao.

How about we sign this guy I know, he's really underappreciated and would do great under our system and would really gell with the rest of the team. And the best part? He's gonna be a free agent this summer.

    His name is...

    Luis Scola!
