Ish plays better defense than Brooks and he is more of a PG than a SG, unlike Brooks. His summer league stats were better than people made it out to be. True, he is not a scorer like Brooks, but he is a floor general.
This. Lots of people havent seen his stats or his play, but just throw sticks in the forest (sorry, didnt wanna use 'shooting blind' again) when they speak about his game. He's not really that GOOD, but he is a floor general, knows how to play the point. Still, he wont get any minutes, maybe in garbage time with brooks hopefully for a show, id love to see that.
Surprisingly the Voting is pretty Even so I guess it is a good question. just glad to be talking basketball again. I cannot wait to see them on the courts. Rocket River
Nice problem to have. A LOT of players who deserve to be on the floor. Starting lineup is solid. Bench is solid. Our 05-06 roster: http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/2006.html Quite a difference...
Brooks saw so many minutes with Lowry because the team had no legit backup 2. Taylor was struggling, Ariza, Bud, and Battier are all 3s. Now the Rockets bring in Lee so you will see Brooks being used primarily at the 1 this season. He will probably see spot minutes at the 2, but the pecking order will be Martin, Lee, and then Brooks....
Yeah, and Lowry/Martin. That was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the poll... it's an incomplete poll.
Lowry LEE and Battier is going to be a SICK defensive perimeter. Well, we used to have Lowry Artest and Battier but Artest can not shoot and drive like LEE.
True, but we have to score the ball to win and perimeter defense is hard to do in today's no hand check NBA. DD
