Yep. You can't work on ur game during the season. This summer, its about reps. Vertical jumpshooting, short dribble pullups. People thinks its about shooting 500 jumpers a day and its not. Its about situational shooting. You kinda run against air and simulate the shots you get.

I don't think he's afraid of contact. I'm just saying he doesn't know how to create contact so he can make room to get his shot up and draw the foul.

He's a bad shooter right now, period, but after having watched Lowry a jumper can be developed quickly.

He's was a bad FT shooter at florida, but he wasn't this bad, 61% for his career.

Gonna be interesting to see how good he is next year, because he's already a great passer, rebounder and defensive player. He's also a decent slasher.

He's far from untouchable, but if he develops the jumper, I would be ready to move forward with him as our long term starting 3. Lowry is the only other rocket I would be willing to say that about.

If Bruce Bowen could develop a jumper, anyone can.

Look, I'm not sure whether you're just displaying a great deal of immaturity/ lack of class trying to be funny, or have engaged in a personal attack here. (maybe all 3) Either way, there's no place for it on this board.

He does not have to create contact because he can shoot and lay it up over people. He is six ten and has decent hops. When he drives in, there will rarely be anybody as high as he is. Therefore, he doesn't have to jump into people, pump fake, etc. as much to draw the foul. Kyle Lowry is the opposite, since he is really short. He has to utilize all the tricks in the book.

Maybe the Rockets need some more assistant coaches, one for each player.

His shot is a line drive, that kinda shot can never be consistent. He would have to completely revamp his shooting motion.

I think alot of his misses come when he doesnt set himself up for the shot. I think he needs to develop more of a set shot (like in the allstar event) and concentrate on his follow through kind of like a mario elie
