Where do they serve not only the best pizzas, but the most original, and I need the inside not to be a crappy little fast food looking joint.

    I like spinach on pizza...

Price doesnt matter too much, but come on, you dont want to pay too much for stuff you're going to crap 6 hours later... You get the picture.

I havnt been to one of these places in a long time. Is it still the buffet thing ? I hate those so much. I dont need to eat more than a couple of slices, and dont want to wait in line behind people that do.

    (what a jerk <not you, me>)

Yes, its still the buffet but i don't think i've ever had to stand in a line. Usually i can get what i want fairly quickly. Lately i just order a pizza and they bring it to my table.

Paul's Pizza Shop - get any kind of pizza but BE SURE to ask for the Italian Crust and I PROMISE you'll thank me.

The problem is there were only 2 locations until recently when one shut down  . I think the one still open is on I45 somewhere. IF its half as good as the one i used to frequent, you'll all be wanting to send money my way.

    Great Calzones too.

    :D

And Antonio's is for people who think Swanson's frozen dinners are fine dining.

The best pizza is New York style pizza.

The best New York style pizza in Houston is at Manhattan Pizza (1100 Wilcrest) and Romano's (1500 block of West Gray).

    '

My wife loves you now. :)

We both love NY style pizza and have never tried either of those. We both like New York Pizzareia on West Gray and, frankly, there are some mall pizza places that aren't bad - Sbarro is passable and Three Brothers in Greenspoint is a family-owned place that is really good.

She lived in New Jersey for about 7 years and knows all about great NY pizza.

I will never go back to Star after what they did to the Satellite Lounge. That guy, as gwayneco put it, is an evil b*stard. Frankly, I didn't like their pizza that much anyway.

Fuzzy's has really good spinach pizza, but I haven't been there in years. Brother's pizzeria on Highway 6 has some good stuff as well.

I've been wanting to try Star, but just haven't gotten around to it. What makes the owner so evil?

Those are some great NYK style places listed, what about Chicago style? Do we have any deep dish mom and pops around Houston?

Also, if you want to break from tradition, check out California Pizza Kitchen. It's an affront to the Pizza Gods, but it's still good stuff.
