except JJ was on the 03-04 playoff team Didn't he shoot 3 pointers at %40 for the whole year that season? Isn't that better than T-wacks FG% at home? lol
His facial expressions and attitudes were of a whiny baby, not a leader His fourth quarter lost the game for us He DID NOT step up. The worst part was his bit*hing The playoffs are going to be physical. Things are going to go badly sometimes. A player like Kobe rises to the challenge and gets pissed and plays his heart out. Tonight, TMac did the opposite. He didn't defend and his body language and effort were subpar...especially in the second half. I don't see how anyone, no matter how much you may like Tracy, could defend his performance tonight and not be disgusted. Big players step up in big games. Let's hope that this changes when the playoffs start.
I was surprised Tmac remembered there was a game tonight. Maybe someone reminded him at the last minute that's probably why he shot extremely poorly and barely had any assists and barely had any rebounds and I believe he had 10 OR 0 in both steals and blocks categories but HEY! he did get 6 of 9 from the free throw line so therefore I will still BELIEVE!! Come on guys don't let yourself down believe! Tmac will take us to Second Round!!
Am I the only one feel really satisfied with this team. We are looking at 55 wins for a team that is not even supposed to make the playoff in this year's race.
I completely agree. We have a 7'6'' guy who plays basketball all year around, and a injury prone borderline superstar in T-mac. I think we can all agree that Yao's career from here on will probably slowly decline with all the injuries and banging he takes playing throughout the year. However, seeing a guy of his stature put up numbers like he has is pretty impressive. On a serious note, I think we will have to eventually trade one of the two stars, probably Mcgrady. Every year since they have been together one or the other has been injured. They still haven't been able to play together through the seasons without one of them missing a significant amount of games. And the reality of the situation is that it's going to continue to happen. We will just have to find a consistent shooter as the third scorer (preferably a PG) who can put up around 15 points a game and shoot atleast 40-42% percent from the field. BB
The will is just not there. Only Scola fought hard tonight. We can't expect him to be our go to guy.McGrady has to uplift himself and the team. We can't expect him to get 15-20 points a game.Balanced scoring is needed but it's much harder to do it in the playoffs. The team leader has to impose his will or else it's 4 games and end of the season.
Making the playoffs without Yao was unexpected by many. No one should expect miracles but there is no reason to be satisfied with the way the team is playing right now. We have to put in 100% as a team in every game in the playoffs. If they can do that and still have a 1st round exit I can live with it.
If there was no Scolandry, playoff was unexpected. The two gave their best more consistently than the 20millionAYear player. That's what hurts.
Oh hell no we can not ALL agree about that. Yao had a stress fracture, I think he comes back better than ever. Tmac is the one I am worried about....if I had to trade one, it would not be the guy coming off a foot injury...... It would not be the guy that is already in the pool rehabbing, and trying to get better...oh no.... It would be the guy who is not a leader by any stretch of the imagination, the guy with physical gifts galore, but the mental mindset of a geranium. DD
I totally agree with you. I'm not trying to say that McGrady didn't play well during the streak at times but as the team leader it's his role to lift the team up when we are struggling and he hasn't been able to do it except on rare occasions and right now he is struggling and the team is suffering badly.
