I saw him chillin' at the Apple Store in the Galleria this evening. Guess he can't be hurting too bad for the cash money 'cause he was doing it big, electronics style.

Dude looks about 16 years old in person...

Since all of them have some spare time these days, I think Green is in the process of firing up a bowl with Malick Badiane, Bryce Drew and Mirsad Turkcan....

i say we get rid of mike harris, loren woods and luther head even and sign green to be tmac's backup and get another backup center. at a very low cost that is.

    rafer/francis/b-jax/brooks
    tmac/green/?
    battier/novak
    scola/landry/hayes
    yao/deke/?

I heard a crazy story, could be false but I heard it from two different people, one of which knows workers in the big hotel right across from Toyota Center. Basically, when Green got traded here, he partied really hard. He told the Rox that there wouldn't be enough room at his parents house he had gotten them so they put him up in the hotel across the way. It's not a big deal to party cause your happy your home on your hometown team but he just took it too far. When the Rox come back from Dallas, he didn't dress that game, he had a bunch of friends waiting and had another party. The next morning he didn't show up to practice so they sent someone over to get him. No one would answer the phone or door, so they got the manager and got in. He was hungover with a girl in his room. They asked the girl to leave and she wouldn't cause she hadn't got paid yet, lol! So, they had to remove her and she was screaming in the middle of the halls in a nice hotel, "I didn't get my money." All kinds of noise and cursing, not a great image for the Rox. Green went to Morey's office and was waived.
Take it for what its worth, I'm telling a third hand story but it makes sense since the guy they replaced him with they complimented his work ethic so much. Even if this story is true there's no reason the Rox wouldn't at least hope of this as a lesson learned on his part and still bring him in this summer.

But the question is, the question remains, does he WANTS to play, to really play. Does he now 'get it'?

    So what?

If we sign him, give him a red-hot go, and figure out he's got nothing, we drop him and pick up Loren Woods again.

It's not like we lose ANYTHING by bringing him in to summer league camp and working him out.

All these crappy arguments that he played on loser teams are terrible! Yes he played on loser teams, which is exactly WHY he wasn't developed at all...
Teams that WIN generally know how to develop players to NBA standard

Why do you think the same teams keep finding themselves in the lottery year after year... they keep picking all the 'talented' rookies, but don't know how to make them NBA players.
And then they trade their 'talent' for 'stars' and finally break out (Boston).

I think Matt Maloney was at that party, too. Sounds like a sausage-fest.

Guys does Gerald have a consistent outside shot? I don't think i saw him shoot any jumpers even in boston, but that shouldn't be a problem taking 1000 shots a day during the offseason should make him some kind of outside threat.
The only thing that bothers me is that this guy asked to be traded here, thats how much he really loves houston :(
