a 30 years old worth10 millions $ with a career of playing volleyball on the Beach after his NBA stunts, he got sun tanned too, I want to be like Bud when I grow up
I always thought his passion was with volleyball more than basketball. He probably would have made it to the Olympics Great career move to make it to the NBA, earn retirement money, come back and play pro beach again.
Don't think I didn't notice this quote: They tied for fifth in NYC, a vast improvement from their 13th-place finish at their previous event, the AVP’s Austin Open. I missed it! Did DD go? I like to watch beach volleyball, especially "women's" beach volleyball. I had forgotten that tournaments happen in Austin, and haven't been to one in years. I'll just have to see when the next one is here and if Chase is playing. It'd be a trip to watch him play, especially at that level, and there are always the girls who flock to these things to watch, as well as the ones who play. A good read. Well worth checking out. Nice bump, J.R.! Chase was never go going to be more than an effective rotation player, in my opinion, but he did look to have potential early on. It's interesting that injuries took away his "NBA" level of play (you have to be pretty decent to even be a scrub in the NBA) that allowed an NBA career, and must have had an effect in Europe, from the sound of it, but playing on sand instead of hardwood doesn't have the same impact physically on a guy like Chase. He appears to have every intention of competing at the highest level of beach volleyball, and has partnered up with an elite player he's known for years. As Spock would say, fascinating.
Chase isn't in the NBA because he didn't really like playing basketball. Dude never really was all that into it.
