There is still something of a Minneapolis St. Paul rivalry with the St. Paulians accusing Minneapolitans of being crass and materialistic.

I've visited St Paul and its nice, but I love Texas so much...I'd suck it up and live in BFE Ft. Worth...It's not dallas, but that's ok...

That's AWESOME! Myself being a new Fort Worthian, I can say that this sentiment prevails.

My fiancé, third gen. Fort Worth born and raised, feels EXACTLY the same way. As I am rabid Rockets/Astros/Texans fan I do get will some good-hearted abuse...but I wear my colors with pride!

The only downside to Fort Worth--no offense to any alumni--is TCU. Good grief, the kids that go to school there are as spoiled as they are annoying and not smart enough to get into SMU--not the best combination.

The biggest attraction of Fort Worth to me, is the Historical neighborhoods and affordable living.

I just bought a home in the Historic Oakhurst/Sylvan Heights/Carter-Riverside area to the north of Downtown. Think The Heights in Houston. It's a 1500 sqft Tudor Cottage built in 1930 that is almost all original and completely designer updated. As in granite countertops, custom cabinets, marble floor in kitchen, designer paints, flagstone courtyard, and of course, original 30's hardware and wood floors throughout the entire home.

I paid $107,000 for it and I am literally 5 minutes from my job downtown with NO highway to commute on! You can't beat that deal with a stick, in my opinion.

For Worth has GREAT dining and isn't all about chain restaurants like Dallas--the dining scene is much more local like Houston. The Gallery tours in the Spring and Fall are a blast. It has the feel of Austin but smaller and friendlier with allot more "cowboy"--which I dig.

Lucille's is one of the many registered histrical buildings in Fort Wort and right in my currect neck of the woods. The food is definitely worth writing home about. Check out "Caro's" Tex-Mex on the Blue Bonnet traffic circle the next time you swing through. They claim to be the only eatery in Fort Worth that doesn't use a microwave, can opener, or warming trays--in a word, FRESH. Plus, if you order about a week in advance, you can have a full meal of Cabrito carved up right in front of you.

I am staying with the woman untill I close on my house and she lives right off of Burton hill from Camp Bowie. Love the west side but I am not yet at the $150-$200 sqft price over there.

Fort Worth is one of texas's best kept secrets. I have a lot family members there so I am a little biased but used to go there every summer and loved it. the hills, its clean, people are nice. its a great city.

I lived in Fort Worth for about a year way back in 1992/93, and I was surprised at how much different it is there compared to Dallas, mostly based on the general attitude of the people who live there. The city seemed to have more of a small-town attitude. More friendly, less hurried, etc.

I could never live in St. Paul because of the cold.

Forgot to count on that posters here probably know much more about Ft. Worth than St. Paul so here are some St. Paul pics.

Sishir, I love A Prairie Home Companion. Great radio program. Garrison Keillor is a fantastic host.

Haven't been to Ft. Worth too many times, but it seems decent enough. St. Paul would be too darn cold. I like to be able to hang around outside most of the year, instead of having to bundle up even to go between buildings to make sure none of my limbs turn blue and fall off.

Wow! Kabul and Ft. Worth are tied! C'mon Kabul lets get some more people to come and see your beautiful mountains, great naan, open air gun markets and hot chicks in Burkhas

In the limited time I spent there, I really liked the Raleigh-Durham area of NC. I have never been to Minnesota and the closest I got to experiencing Ft. Worth was changing planes at the DFW airport.

I was born in Fort Worth but haven't lived there since I was a year old. But there's no way I would move out of Texas unless I had to (or I had a chance to go back to Germany)...
