They lost to Atlanta without him. When a PG is so good, he makes everyone around him better, its pretty easy to figure out.

that atlanta team had joe johnson healthy and playing well at the time. and they were 2-4 w/o him. give them some time and barbosa would adjust to being a starter.

game of 1 on 1 - Kobe rules

    5 on 5 - Nash rules

err, watching the SUNS/FAKERS now, halftime Kobe is going crazee! 28 pts.

maybe i'll rethink the 5 on 5 thingie, KB is the anti-Suns ...

    1) Kobe
    2) Nowitzki
    3) Duncan
    4) Wade
    5) James
    6) T-Mac
    7) Nash
    8) Yao*
    9) Garnett
    10) Arenas

*If Yao had played more games this year and had continued his dominance for the entire season, I'd move him up to 4th. That said, he takes his place here.

Sorry, but I would place Yao ahead of KG, and Duncan ahead of both.

    That's just me, though...

Yao's presence is great but he is too inconsistent on the boards

Well for me it's very difficult to equate players who are a]jump shooters, b]playmakers and c]powerplayers

    Not in any oder
    a]
    Koby.
    McGrady
    Barbosa
    Studemire
    Arenas
    Nowitzki
    Wade
    Iverson
    Anthony

    b]
    Nash
    Kidd
    Paul

    c]
    Yao
    LeBron
    Shaq
    Duncan
    Garnett

Let's get one thing straight. Kobe is the best SCORER, not the best player. The best player should have the best all-around game. Kobe doesn't.

Where would you rank T-Mac and Yao among the best players today?

You wouldn't. All you can say is that they are "up there with the best". There's no way to rank them in order unless you do it by MVP votes in which case some of those guys on the list get none.

Yao - arguably the best center in the game and still improving.

T-Mac - along with LeBron and maybe even Wade, probably the best all-around player in the game.

    That's what I would say.

I would put Dirk in 9th through 12th and Yao and Tmac above him. nothing personal against Dirk but he has a GREAT supporting cast where Garnett doesnt and which is why Garnett should be way above Dirk. If Dirk was in Minny in place of Garnett that team would have a worst team record than it has this season and people would be putting dirk in the same level as Pau Gasol thats if dirk had a team like Garnett has this season BUT Garnett would be a great leader in dallas if he was to replace dirk!!! about Tmac and Yao Both should be in Top 6 and both MVP candidate!
