Well I can assure you that you will find finer women in Stockholm than the Bedouins of the Taklamakan (is that the word you were looking for???) desert. I can't remember where exactly I went out drinking in Stockholm (it's been a couple of years), but the trendy places have probably come and gone since then. I do remember eating at a nice restaurant named Grill. You need to make reservations there in advance if you want to go there. Be prepared - it's very expensive. Especially drinks over there. I'm sure a man of your alternative minimum tax bracket means should be fine, though. I was impressed by Stockholm's cleanliness. It struck me as a very orderly, clean city. The people there were great, also. Their English is better than many groups in this country (I know, that's not saying a lot...). You'll have a good time - I wasn't prepared for the cold, but it was worse than the 30s when I went.

Or, you can watch basketball! See Derrick Tarver of the Solna Vikings, he averaged half a point for the Cleveland Cavaliers 2005 Vegas summer league team!!

I voted for Copenhagen, Denmark. Seriously, I would probably want to go to Norway as well but only because a BBS poster lives there and it would be cool to meet him.

And plcmts17 forgot about Sigur Ros being from Iceland when he was listing things or people from that country.

You forgot Copenhagen. Been a couple of times and it's not only a beautiful city, w/ amazingly hot women (or men, if that's your bareback mountain thing- not that there's anything wrong with that!), but it's a great place to drink, and listen to jazz.

Unseasonably warm temps in the mid 30's, got in good with the locals and was admitted to eurotrash discos where I could pay 20$/drink, found the only thai girl in stockholm and macked on her with predictable results. 30$ meatball entrees were a bit of a downer. Got food poisoning on Icelandair on the way back.

Nice place. Damned expensive, but manageable, polite, and nice looking. Will go back at some point in the summer, but I think Copenhagen is the next stop

EDIT: should also say that the Vasamuseet was really impressive and unique - worth seeing for anybody in the area.
