I think the Suns could do the Artest, Scola and head trade. Dont they want more defensive players to fit in Terry Porters system? I think it can happen..
I believe the Suns would be more interested with Artest/Landry/Head/Picks; seeing as they want expirings and a young talented player - preferably a forward; although it's still unlikely. But there are a couple of offers that could net Amare: Knicks - Lee/Chandler/Harrington or Marbury (add Barbosa) Portland - Aldridge/LaFrentz Miami - Marion to 3rd team, Beasley
bosh is great but he has to be a ball stopper in order to be effective something that'll piss off most of you in this forum
all great players are ball stoppers. until people on this board watch more of the game, they know something. only average players can't stop the ball b/c they can't do anything with it.
ain't gonna happen. at least throw out a plausible trade scenario. but, for the spirit of the bbs, yes that front court is pretty lethal on paper. chemistry wise, i don't think amare can settle on being the 3rd option. you see how it's affecting him on the suns with shaq getting most of the touches in the paint. when things go wrong, amare loses his temper and as a result gives up on plays, particularly on the defensive end. do we really another player that doesn't play hard 100% of the time?
Just for the record: my top Houston Rockets front courts are as follows: 1. Dream, Thorpe, Horry - It's hard to argue against an NBA championship 2. Dream, Drexler, Horry - See above coment 3. Dream, Sampson, McCray 4. Moses Malone, Elvin Hayes, Robert Reid 5. Dream, Drexler, Barkley I think a Yao, Amare and TMac would be right about number 5. It's too bad Hayes was not on the team when the Rockets played the Celtics in the 80 finals because with the way Mo was playing we definitely could have won with Big E. Too bad he came back a year late.
Amare is reportedly on the trading block so why is Scola and Artest not realistic? It's not like I through out Hayes, Deke and Head.
scola and artest aren't going to help them win a championship. if they trade amare, they would younger talent back either potential star or high draft picks. but the suns are stupid. amare is a stud.
I agree Amare is a stud and the suns should not trade him. The truth is that the Suns will not get back equall talent for Amare.
Not saying it would happen, but if for some unicorn type reason kerr would trade Amare to houston, why wouldn't houston give up Artest, Landry, and scola and take back Amare and barnes?
then build around him. forget nash and shaq. amare has 10 years left. nash and shaq have 2 at the most. what are they thinking?
It's not realistic because the Suns aren't going to trade him to another team that they are competing with in the West. If the Suns trade him it will be to the Eastern Conference or a bottom feeder team in the West.
One of the worst defensive front court ever. On of the most injury prone front court ever. Maybe the worst hustle front court ever. And all 3 need ball to be effective. But there is only one ball on the court.
I'd say we'd rank 11th in the Western Conference. Amare's only good thanks to Nash, T-Mac is washed up (he knows it too, thats why he says he is more of a 21 million dollar superstar "facilitator" who would only like to score 15 ppg) and both Yao and Amare in the lane would hurt each others game. We need to focus on a LEGITIMATE shooter and PG rather than that guy
Besides this is never going to happen. They are looking to send him to the Eastern Conference. That is what Smart GM's do when trading superstars, send them to the other conference.
