brady also lost in the super bowl after going 18-0 with randy moss on his team.

only 14 points against a team that was ranked 17th defensively?

it's still brady > manning but both peyton and brady have choked the past 8 years. brady just had the luxury of being put into a team that had a lot of talent around him in his younger years while peyton was a number 1 overall pick that took over a terrible colts team.

Honestly I want to see what he does POST Brady.
He and Brady tied at the hip right now
He like a Buddy Ryan with a better QB . . . until he does it with another QB
    in a sense.

    Brady's chokes comes POST-Taping . . .. .
so his previous WINS were TAPING ENHANCED so . . .never know how he would have done without the tape

Same with Belichek . . . . their best acheivements are all TAPE ENHANCED

I'm confused by this notion..."their best achievements are all TAPED ENHANCED"? Spygate came out at the beginning of the 2007 season. Since then, the Patriots:

    Went 16-0 in 2007
    2 Superbowl trips
    4 AFC championship appearances
    88-24 over 7 seasons

Of course they didn't win any superbowls since then but to say their best achievements were all taped enhanced would mean that without taping practices, they would be a mediocre team which they clearly haven't been.

He's already done it in his previous stints... he's influenced organizations in terms of the people who trained under him... and hell, did it one year with Matt freaking Cassel.

Brady doesn't exist without Belichick... whereas Belichick was already shining his SB rings before Brady.

Schaub is fully blamed for the loss against Seattle, and nobody says the team made a lot of mistakes, but Schaub played great 3 quarters, and the only bad thing was that pick 6, but nobody remembers ben tate's fumble around texans 20 yard line, nobody blames the defense for allowing a 99-yard drive ended in a touchdown, Schaub was the reason we lost, but this game Peyton is not. huh?

disclaimer: I know Schaub has to go, and you cant compare Peyton him, but people blames Schaub for all the bad things that happened last season.

but in the last two superbowls, brady and the pats already scored the winning TD, and the defense couldnt stop Eli and the giants for scoring a TD, with less than 3 minutes on the game.

last 2 superbowls, Peyton gave the game away, with a pick six against the Saints, and then having a poor game.

but brady wasn't very good in those 2 games.

can't blame the defense when they kept youin the game and you weren't playing well anyways.

the patriots scored 37 points per game in 2007 to only scored 14 points on the 17th raked defense in 2006, and scored 32 points per game in 2011 to only score 14 points on the 25th ranked defense.

the patriots defense held the opposition below thier average while the offense massively under performed to their potential.

I take peyton over brady any day. belicheck and the patriots have good teams but manning is the better qb.

Montana seems to be getting off easy here. Walsh has a better track record with multiple teams in both college and pro than Montana does.

Manning is just too good not to be in the top 5. If Brady wins one more he's the GOAT IMO. Peyton is the best regular season QB of all time and Bradys numbers are right there with him. If Brady wins one more I give him the edge because Montana had the greatest receiver ever and also had a Hall of fame coach along with a great defense.

I'm resorting to the Michelle Kwan defense, ok Kwan never won a gold medal, but name a better figure skater than her over the last twenty years.

I still Montana is probably greatest ever, but I hate how people often act as if he (and the 49ers) were invincible in the playoffs. Right in the mid 80s, the 49ers went through a little dry spell and their losses were tremendous. In 85, beatdown by the Giants, 16-3. the In 86, they got massacred by the Giants, 49-3. In 87, the Vikings went into the Candlestick for a big upset, while in that same game Joe Montana got benched in a game that wasn't completely out of hand.

This article might change perceptions a little bit about the hall of fame and QBs, a bit. You cannot compare everyone to Montana and Bradshaw, while many articles from this time echos the same sentiment many people at the time had...Montana was already hall of fame bound and a likely 1st Ballot hall of famer... this is before Super Bowl #3 and #4.

Considering Parcells was always "missing something" in all his other coaching stints, I'd venture to say that he needed Belichick more than Belichick needed him.

Also, remember, the Giants carried Belichick off the field when they beat the 49ers... not Parcells.

Who would you guys take from these matchups in their respective primes?

    Montana (81-89) vs. Young (92-98)

    Bradshaw (74-80) vs. Marino (84-93)

    Brady (01-06) vs. K.Warner (99-08)

    Aikman (91-96) vs. Moon (88-96)

    Plunkett (79-84) vs. Fouts (77-83)

    Simms (84-90) vs. Lomax (84-90)

(Eli) Manning (07-12) vs. Ryan (08-present)

    First off...

Peyton is THE GREATEST REGULAR SEASON QB ever!!!!

    too many MVPs
    too much stats
    ______

No more SB titles - top 8-10
Had he lost this one- top 6-8
If he wins another - top 3-5
