Among all rookies, Chase's per game ranking so far :

    PPG - 6
    RPG - 14
    APG - 10
    FG% - 5
    3P% - 5
    MPG - 13

    Definately lottery numbers.

Kerr said if they had another pick or he'd fallen to them the Sun's would've drafted him.

He reminds me of a young Brent Barry. Sharpshooter, Athletic, High BBall IQ and an important asset to a championship team.

I picked the LOTTERY but the more I think about it, I think he could have went top 5. If you look at the rookies out there, he is clearly producing more than anyone else, outside of Tyreke Evans. Of course it's still early, but he has all the skills of a T-Mac. At first he reminded me of Mike Miller but he offers more than just scoring. He can score from anywhere on the court, he can pass, all I need to see him do is rebound and play better defensively, then we can say he is Major! :D

He's not clearly producing more than Jennings, Flynn, Blair, Lawson, or Curry.

Henderson, DeRozan, Jordan Hill...yeah you could say Budinger would be in the lottery.

I would love to revisit this Thread in about 6-months; and again in 21/2 years. AirBud sure seems a $2mm steal, and I am absolutely enthused about him. But, these are still early days for him and the Class of '09. (Where was Landry at this point in his rook year? Lowry ere trade? ChuckWagon period?)

Makes me also wonder if he really tried his last years in college lol. His value went down each year.

He also doesn't play as much as the rookies above him in those rankings and doesn't start. I'm intrigued to see how much he can produce if given big minutes consistently but that probably won't happen unless there's an injury or a blowout.

I really would like to see him starting with Battier or Ariza, as I think that is a much more balanced offensive attack, but I realize he is only a rookie.

My apologies, Mr. Budinger... You r so not like Novak... We win against the Lakers if you were able to play. Give the Ms. Cuban and the Mavgirls fits on Tuesday.

The black JET for our very own Rockets.
