Lebron has a pretty good head start over Kobe though because he was scoring a lot more early in his career than Kobe. Lebron currently has about the same number of points as Kobe had at the end of his 10th season, and Lebron is only about halfway through his 8th season.

Honestly, I think if he stayed in Cleveland he had a very god chance of getting number 1. In Miami, he's losing about 5ppg sharing the ball with a Dwyane Wade.

Oh you're right. In that case...it could be close. He would need to sustain his scoring for 3 more seasons, not counting this season to beat Jordan.

He is trying to be Micheal Jordan. So my guess is he will hold on till he is falling apart and finally passes Jordan and tries to use that as his reason he is better. Even though Micheal is minus two years from retirement and 4 years in college. So third all time or fourth.

Interesting observation but that doesn't mean Jordan less gay than Kobe. It was Jordan's decision to play college ball. If he skipped college and played more games than Kobe, would he fare better?

People didn't skip college and go to the pros back then. Moses Malone did it in the mid-70's, but I don't think anyone else did it again until KG the year before Kobe. Shawn Kemp didn't play ball in college, but did sign up and try to go for a year.
