What do yall think of basically trading Jennings/Ellis for Teague/Mayo? I thought letting Ellis walk for Mayo was fine, but I'd much rather have Jennings over Teague. They got some nice talent on that team, if only they knew what to do with it.
Lakers have no interest in offering multi-year contracts. They are betting the franchise on the summer of 2014.
Jennings? Probably at best a middling team that barely makes the playoffs. Much like Monta he has a inflated opinion of himself, he can play in the NBA but he doesn't make his team that much better.
Very interesting read on why Jennings is still a FA. If you're lazy, skip the article and just watch the video at the bottom. Good stuff. http://www.bballbreakdown.com/why-brandon-jennings-is-still-a-free-agent/
It's not like he had a choice, IIRC he failed some kind of exam and so he went to Europe instead. He just decided to embrace it since he's already there. I personally think he does have enough talent to be one of the top pgs in the league, the problem is he's from the Melo school of thought and instead of trying to expand his game and learn how to be a better pg he's jacking mid range Js left and right.
I don't think I want him in Houston even for a veterans minimum. Dude's gotta stop being a chucker if he wants a career in the NBA.
Wow. That was telling, but true. Like I have said before he is a playground point guard. He has got to get more effective in all facets of the game to get his money. I can see him signing the 1 deal this year ( not getting better) and maybe going back over seas next year.
Doesn't have much of a choice but sign that qualifying offer with the Bucks for 4.5M this year. Should have got an extension earlier
It's telling that this guy who thinks he should get max money is still not signed. Guess that one game where he had like 50 points was a fluke.
Yeah, ballplayer said it best. Brandon Jennings always looks like he's playing at Rucker Park or Drew League. He plays every game like it's a pickup, playground match. Which won't get you very far in the NBA unless you're incredibly talented. He'll probably end up with the Bucks, although I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up trading him (purely on his value as an expiring) during the season. Seems the bridge between them is burnt. But, Jennings needs a team, and they need a point guard.
