1994 - My friend and I were at a wing restaurant off Westheimer, watching the game on a big screen. I'll never forget, once we won game seven everyone in the restaurant started dumping their pitchers of beer on everyone or just emptying the beer in the air.

My friend and I then ran down Fountainview to Richmond, where it was PARTY CENTRAL. Everyone was dancing and celebrating in the streets. Traffic was at a stndstill. My friend and I walked down the middle Richmond avenue cheering with all of the cars that were parked in the street. The cops were out, but just to ensure no rioting.

It was a great night, it seemed there were no racial issues afoot. Everyone was cheering right beside everyone else, I saw guys that looked like gang members cheering and hugging men or women dressed in professional attire.

1995 - The same friend and I stayed at his house and just cheered it up with some neighbors. A great win, but not as exciting as 1994.

First time, I was watching at home and then we all went out and drove around the city to see people celebrating.

The 2nd time, I was at a summer try out session for a boarding school. I had to watch the game on an old big screen tv with crappy reception.

94-i was in taiwan with family watching the games early in the morning live and in the evenings. i was so confused on the bronco part as they didn't translate any of it. i had no idea what was going on til several days later when my mom arrived in taiwan and told us.

95-at home...i was too young to be on richmond but we were flipping channels back and forth trying to catch all the 2, 11 and 13 local news on the parties in houston.

    :D

    good times!!!

I rented a one room house across the street from my (dry) college campus my final two years of college, in Iowa. I had just moved in for the first championship and we had kegs for every game. The second championship I watched in a dive bar with the only other person from Texas I could find, a former Heartbreakers dancer from League City.

94 - I was at my Grandma's house. My friend came over with a bottle of champagne to celebrate, I was so happy I threw him in the pool.

95 - I was at my uncle's near Pearland and drove down Westheimer towards the Richmond strip, which must have taken about 2 hours. The one thing I'll never forget is being at a stop light right before Shepard and the street being packed with fans. The light turns green and before the crowd will let the cars go this old guy starts sweeping the crosswalk with his broom and this crowd is cheering him on as he crosses the street. It was hilarious. :)

In Houston, for the final games at home. My most memorable place for any game in either series is for game 3 in the second one. I was at UT for freshman orientation. I ended up hanging out with some guys with Florida during that weekend which made for an interesting game. They hated Mario Elie.

'94 I was working in Boston and living in tenement in front of Fenway Park. When the Rox won I ran downstairs and did backflips down Boylston Street.

'95 I was in Minnesota already and hosted a Championship party at my place. My friends who were not Rox fans got very annoyed when I went around bear hugging them after the game.

1994 - My Mom's house in Fifth Ward with my immediate family. I was working at U.S. Video Express (17th and Shepherd) then. I called in SICK (just like today) just to watch the game. We drove to Academy on Post Oak to quickly to buy the locker room shirts.
1995 - My good best friend's Gaby's apartment on Ashwood behind Sharpstown. We quickly drove down richmond, parked at the TacoCabana on Chimney Rock.

First Championship - I was in 6th grade, I was in "year round schooling" so I didn't watch it cuz TV wasn't allowed on school days, but my school got on the news for throwing Rockets pep rallies.

Second Championship - I was in 7th grade, doing a "patterns in nature" project that last month of school, and I'd "have to stay up late to finish" whatever assignment. I'd turn on the TV upstairs (away from my parents) and put the volume on one notch above mute and sit inches from the TV so I could hear. For the actual Championship series, I went to a friend's house.

'95 - in the nosebleed seats at the Summit for games 3 and 4 (How Sweet It Is!!), and then out on Richmond high-fiving half of Houston.

I was in 6th and 7th grades for both championships. Both years I was running around the house jumping, yelling, screaming and crying tears of joy.:D If the Rockets ever win it again, I'll do it again.
