I don't even see how those websites affect national security in any way or manner. Legally speaking, they are only linking to streamers, not actually hosting the games. I see three things here. 1) The government is trying to take over the internet because they feel threatened by it. Thank you very much wikileaks. 2) Homeland security is the only organization in the nation that feels they can do whatever they want because they actually are beyond the law if they can loosely correlate it to national security. That scares the crap out of me, it sounds very much like dictatorial techniques from the Hitler era with a HUGE amount of abuse potential. I'm certain Germans felt the Nazi government was stepping in to actually help them and not enslave them. Didn't turn out so good, specially for the Jews. 3) I guess the NFL/NBA/etc have pockets deep enough to push to make it worthwhile to the government to step in. Points 1 and 2 should make any freedom loving American citizen start to wonder if the US is trying to become the next China. When legal systems setup to avoid abuse of the people start being bypassed there should be legal concern, not because of stupid bball games, but because the very freedoms our forefathers fought and died for to grant us are being stripped away from us right in front of our eyes, because the constitution itself is being trampled under the "excuse" of protection.
Took the Feds long enough, didn't know this site was American. There is a lot of piracy on the internet that is probably going to be cracked down on. It's 50/50 whether these guys come back imo despite that new atdhe.me site.
People still watch the advertisements - it's not like this is significantly different from watching on television. It just makes it more difficult for TV stations to quantify how many viewers they have so they can justify their advertisement rates to companies.
atdhe.me amazing how such a small site is come up almost the instant it is snatched away and shut down.. you can't eliminate the atdhe, you can only hope to contain them!!!!!!
Try this link, it's got todays games and a lot of choices for hosts. http://www.myp2pforum.eu/threads/51671-NBA-Today!-February-1st
